AIBU Books Game Part Seven

Hi all, here we are again ...

As always, everyone welcome to pile in with AIBU book synopses, as long as you bring ice cream or something equally tempting for when we're stuck.

To continue mine - I'm in charge but it's terribly difficult to keep control. I don't know how long I can keep their respect. I didn't ask to be in charge ...

I'm Holly! Well done, CJ, have a shabby tutu as a prize - it is wartime after all.

AIBU to throw away the little notebook?

MoominMymbleandMy · 26/09/2010 17:53

Well not sequels as such, Elephants, but the Fossils do feature heavily in Curtain Up, less so in The Painted Garden and a little bit in Apple Bough.

I don't know who you are but you do strike me as a rascal. Poor cuckolded doctor. MCP!

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 26/09/2010 17:56

Is it full or blank Moomin.

Is the sequel any good?

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 26/09/2010 17:59

...Oh don't feel sorry for him, he agreed to marry her purely so I could continue our relationship. If only my love life wasn't so complicated...

MoominMymbleandMy · 26/09/2010 18:03

Not in the same league as Ballet Shoes, Elephants, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Smile Let me know if you have trouble finding a copy.

...It's absolutely stuffed with notes. That's the problem...

MCP!

CJCregg · 26/09/2010 18:19

Elephants, you must read them all! Curtain Up and The Painted Garden especially. Just lovely. Can't wait for DD to be old enough to read them.

Did your doctor make some kind of pact with you, Elephants?

OP posts:
CJCregg · 26/09/2010 18:20

PS more details on the notebook, please, Moomin. Unless it belongs to a nasty uncle of yours?

OP posts:
ElephantsAndMiasmas · 26/09/2010 18:30

...Not sure I would call it a pact [leaves through pages], more of a favour. I could have ordered it of course but it's not my style...

Moomin - do you think the notebook isn't quite as inanimate as it seems? Does it talk back?

MoominMymbleandMy · 26/09/2010 18:37

...I don't know who it belongs to, but I can make a good guess. And it doesn't talk, it's just stuffed with Pathology notes in tiny writing...

MCP!

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 26/09/2010 18:45

ooh that sounds verrry interesting Moomin

CJCregg · 26/09/2010 19:47

Are you royal, Elephants?

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 26/09/2010 21:10

...isn't it obvious, CJ? But I'm beginning to tire of Celia now as it happens...

Thanks CJ, will raid amazon!

CJCregg · 26/09/2010 21:42

Ooh, Moomin, I love it when you're strict.

More clues on Celia and the pathology cheat, please!

OP posts:
ElephantsAndMiasmas · 26/09/2010 21:47

CJ!

CJCregg · 26/09/2010 22:00

Oh, I'm having much to much fun lamb-baiting Grin

All right, all right ...

AIBU to feel a bit lonely?

OP posts:
ElephantsAndMiasmas · 26/09/2010 22:12

Aw, CJ, are you all by yourself? Where did everybody go?

...Oh dear well the doctor seems to have violated the terms of our deal, and even decided to become an artist, the talentless Fool. I'm going to have to take back that lovely big house I gave him...

MoominMymbleandMy · 27/09/2010 01:53

Elephants, you really are a rascal! Isn't there any chance of Restoration to the royal favour? You could at least give him his plushy pad back.

Ah, CJ, poor woolly face will have the last laugh when you are longing for a book fix and have nothing to hand but the outpourings of Miss Drippy Vampire Fancier.

So why are you lonely? MCP!

...Only I wish I'd kept it because my friend won't hear a word against her and now I have no evidence...

Night, all!

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 27/09/2010 02:14

Moomin, what are you doing up at this hour? :o

I suppose there might just be a chance, a few women later I will probably feel more cheerfully disposed to poor Merivel.

Congratulations - you win an ElephantsAndMiasmas King Charles puppy like this little chap :) Have you read that book?

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 28/09/2010 11:11
CJCregg · 28/09/2010 12:25

Oh dear, I hope the lamb can swim ...

It's just rather dull round here, nobody to chat to. Although a lovely couple have just moved in, so things are looking up.

OP posts:
ElephantsAndMiasmas · 28/09/2010 12:33

Are you living in their house CJ? Do they seem keen to talk to you?

CJCregg · 28/09/2010 20:31

No, no, they're making their home with me. Rather jolly, actually. There seem to be some other folk interested in moving in, too - I hope the place is going to be big enough ...

OP posts:
ElephantsAndMiasmas · 28/09/2010 20:57

Well that sounds very nice CJ :). Are you a woman? You don't live in an, er, item of footwear at all?

CJCregg · 28/09/2010 21:09

No, I'm not a woman and I don't live in a shoe. I do, however, live in another item of clothing, you might say ...

Where is your AIBU, young lady?
