What a blubfest that was! It makes Beth's popping off scene seem like a light comedy. I'll never fathom why the Victorians loved wallowing in drawn-out deathbed scenes.

Uppity thing. Speaking of pedantry, I have been impressed at the quality of spam we've been getting lately. DH had an invitation to meet "discreet married women" and the apostrophe was in the right place in "you're", in a hint we might fancy some weight-loss pills. I felt quite inclined to reply to congratulate them.

I may have already said this,but Seven Little Australians was on the telly at one point,and my DSis ,Mum, my Gran and I watched it together - by the end of the episode where Judy dies we were all in floods of tears(and we were quite stiff-upper-lip normally!)
Meg had to sing to her... Abide with Me,it was awful

I remember that episode, Pogle. It was harrowing! I couldn't believe they'd killed off my favourite character and refused to watch it any more.

And yes indeed, I was being Moomintroll awake for his first Moominland Midwinter!
