RatherBeOnThePiste · 19/01/2010 18:46

It always has
Knives, forks, spoons..... always

AI therefore BU to be irritated beyond belief that when DH unloads the sodding dishwasher that he cannot get it right? He always puts them in random places in our cutlery tray, but never knives, forks, spoons

I suspect he does it like this so that I stop asking him to do it, but we have been together for 15 years!

Knives, forks, spoons or AIBU?!!

this sounds like a very dangerous film

KnottyLocks · 31/03/2010 18:04

Hello Nickelbabe .
Think you should probably be sitting on my naughty chair with me...I'll budge up.

How to use scissors safely

RatherBeOnThePiste · 31/03/2010 18:25

this is what I have in mind for Knotty.

Can you get Left handed Knives, Forks and Spoons?????

KnottyLocks · 31/03/2010 22:33
KnottyLocks · 31/03/2010 22:34

No cliffs round our way

nickelbabe · 01/04/2010 11:38

you can get left-handed knives: the serrated bit is on the other side. so you no longer get bread slices that look like dainty slices on the top and big thick doorstops on the bottom
|\ < -like that

nickelbabe · 01/04/2010 11:39

oh, and i think you can get a left-handed wooden spoon, which has one straight edge.

nickelbabe · 01/04/2010 11:40

left-handed knives

nickelbabe · 01/04/2010 11:41

more so it doens't look like i'm ahowing allegiance to any one supplier

CheekyVimtoGal · 01/04/2010 12:35

We have ours Forks, Knives, Spoons.

Also its Tea, Coffee Sugar.

It irritates me when i see someones jars in the wrong order.

nickelbabe · 01/04/2010 12:45

ah, now, lisa, I have got a fab tower for those things: it has a big cannister at the bottom, then a medium, then a small.
so my tower has tea at the bottom, then sugar then coffee.
it wouldn't work putting sugar in the top because we both use sugar, but only OH uses coffee.

KnottyLocks · 01/04/2010 13:48

Do they do left-handed chopsticks?

majafa · 01/04/2010 14:50

Well in my opinion it should go tea, coffee, suger when in a line on a shelf

as with

knife forks and spoons

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/04/2010 18:46

tea, coffee, sugar?
what's that all about then?
That makes me feel..

we don't have canisters!

Are they matching sets with labels?

Still goes KFS

OP posts:
Tanith · 01/04/2010 19:04

No, no, no! Definately Chocolate, Biscuits, Sugar is the correct order.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/04/2010 19:09

If we are going to be silly, it goes

Pants Vests Socks

in DS chest of drawers top drawer

So

KFS and PVS

OP posts:
gibbberish · 01/04/2010 19:11

Actually, it goes, socks, pants, tights.

gibbberish · 01/04/2010 19:12

Oops ,,, overuse there. Slightly.

KnottyLocks · 01/04/2010 20:22

From the top:

Bras, pants, thongs
Tights, socks, swimmers
Vests, vests, vests.

I like a vest, me

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/04/2010 21:32

Weirdly in DD's top drawer it goes

swimming hats
Vest tops
pants

random it is true, but could be the new standard me thinks

KnottyLocks i rename you ChillyLocks with all yer vests!

OP posts:
KnottyLocks · 01/04/2010 22:52

Tis sad, but my undies are the most organised thing in our house. Even got sub-sections:

'Occasion' bras - black, white, coloured, strapless
Bra and pant sets- matching
Bog standard bras
Posh thongs/strings (whatever they are called) and 'invisible' knickers
Bog standard thongs - black, white, nude
Sensible knickers
Day to day thongs and pants

See, need to vests to counteract the effect of a thong . Also, can't be doing with VNS (visible nipple syndrome).

nickelbabe · 02/04/2010 10:41

oh, Knotty!

I have an entire tallboy devoted to this:

top drawer: socks and knickers (knickers are separated by a cunning shoebox design)
middle drawer: foot-only socks (y'know the ones that end before the ankle), thin tights and tights with patterns on
bottom drawer: thick winter tights.

my bras live on a hanger in the wardrobe.

nickelbabe · 02/04/2010 10:42

although, if we're talking "occasionwear"
the matching bra and knickers sets live in a bag also hanging in the wardrobe.
and a separate bag for stockings and suspenders (purely for being posh, btw)

MaryMOG · 02/04/2010 11:53

hasn't the conversation drifted somewhat?

we don't eat with cultery: we have bread and matzah.
