It always has
Knives, forks, spoons..... always

AI therefore BU to be irritated beyond belief that when DH unloads the sodding dishwasher that he cannot get it right? He always puts them in random places in our cutlery tray, but never knives, forks, spoons

I suspect he does it like this so that I stop asking him to do it, but we have been together for 15 years!

Knives, forks, spoons or AIBU?!!

that little KFS just looked so sad and dejected after your row of faces.

aww.

Lucifera · 12/02/2010 14:18

thank god I saw this! Can't believe I never thought of segregating cutlery in dishwasher, now I've got something else to be anal about and for DP to transgress.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 12/02/2010 16:10

Nickelbabe... to you maybe, but actually it felt like this..........

ClaireyFairy82 · 12/02/2010 16:20

At least the bloody knives and forks all end up in the same drawer. Yesterday I found a multipack of cheddars in the cupboard with the tupperware and bakeware after my dh had been shopping and very consideratly put the shopping away.

Nothing goes in the same place in my house. It's like hide and seek every time I cook. Now where did he put the sieve?

RockbirdandHerSpork · 12/02/2010 17:14

I haven't seen my sieve since spring 1972 or thereabouts.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/02/2010 10:40

RatherBeOnThePiste will .....

ActuallyBeOnThePiste very shortly, and we are all very excited indeed.

However one thing clouds my horizon, and that is how this has not been resolved to my satisfaction. As we all know, it goes

Knives,
Forks and
Spoons

Nothing else will do
Now let that be the end of it

Gabein
Messer

(i can't be bothered to find out how to do an umlaut, so you'll have to have the phonic version)

KnottyLocks · 13/02/2010 12:47

Have just discovered I'm a spoon .

nickelbabe · 13/02/2010 12:54

i'm a spoon too.

he's done it all updire down though: like the apex of the cone is at the bottom.
it'll topple over!
surely it'd make more sense the other way round?

or is it just me?

nickelbabe · 13/02/2010 12:55

updire down???
that's a bit of a typo: should be upside down

KnottyLocks · 13/02/2010 13:13

You're me, Nickelbabe.

Spoon= smaller top, bigger bum....unless standing on your head.

I would be offended if he said I was a ladle and should be a teaspoon. Cheeky get.

Oh, Bon Voyage Piste. . This thread is in safe hands.

Buddleja · 13/02/2010 13:14

Just gone to look - you're all obviously wrong (because I'm right) - from left to right Spoons - forks - knives - children sized cutlery (all mixed up!!) then underneath teaspoons and stolen latte type spoons

nickelbabe · 13/02/2010 16:41

sorry, Knotty: in my head, the spoon would be standing on its handle, with the spoon part at the top, like its head, and the cone would be with the widest part standing on the ground and the pointy bit at the top.

your website has the spoon standing on its head, with the stick in the air, and the cone balancing on its point.

i got confused because i expected it to be the opposite way round to what it is!

i am a spoon in this example because i have no boobs but huge hips! (i think that 's right)

Buddleja yes, you're right, it is Spoons, forks, knives. RatherBeOnThePiste is wrong (and always has been)
