. . . works amazingly well?

Just out of interest, if you were to try this and wanted a baby what symbol would you draw? I have drawn a smiley face beside an 'x 2' for me and DP being happy.

Somehow feel I am living up to loon username.

Obviously will still continue with sex etc before some smart alec points out obvious.

mrscrocoduck · 13/11/2009 07:23

how about a giant cock?

ssd · 13/11/2009 07:45

I'd rather have a giant cook thanks

(and a cleaner and a nanny and a housekeeper OR a wife)

ClaireDeLoon · 13/11/2009 08:46

but wouldn't that just get me a giant cock?

MitchyInge · 13/11/2009 09:06

and what would be wrong with THAT?

OP posts:
ClaireDeLoon · 13/11/2009 09:11

but DP would insist that I say I already have access to one

MitchyInge · 13/11/2009 09:14

persuade him it is for him to have a go on?

BertieBotts · 13/11/2009 09:20

How about a very basic picture of a stick woman cradling a baby in a blanket looking happy? Or cut a picture of a baby from a magazine... or a very small stick figure with a nappy on...

I just wanted to say, I have ordered myself a nice house to move into, looked at a few nice ones, everything went wrong, then finally found this place the other day and it has everything I asked for, even a downstairs bathroom which is unusual in this area (ie in it not having an upstairs one) - perfect for me being too lazy to climb stairs! And it's in budget and the landlord is happy to accept HB - hurrah I will finally escape fuckwit (D)P!

ClaireDeLoon · 13/11/2009 09:20

I'm not sure DP wants a giant cock, but I will check his hands for signs he is trying to order one.

Maybe if I draw a pic of a bump?

thumbwitch · 13/11/2009 16:56

CdL - nope, go for pic of baby. Be specific!

BertieBotts, that's great news!

mitchy, any win is a plus.

pooexplosions · 13/11/2009 21:35

@ mrscrocoduck

mrscrocoduck · 14/11/2009 15:08

there's nothing I like more than winking poo

MitchiestInge · 25/03/2011 19:06

STILL waiting for tiger

and the £2.4m

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 25/03/2011 20:26

I've read The Secret but never used it for more than to have a parking space when I needed one. Might get back into it again.

fuzzypicklehead · 02/10/2012 07:46

Mitchy, I fear your tiger may have been misaddressed. Random orange kitty appeared in my lounge and peed on my sofa . I'm more than happy to re-direct him to you.

(and if your £2.4m has come through, I could use a loan.)

ditziness · 02/10/2012 08:18

I want a house in by the beach for My children to spend their happy childhoods. I'd like this house to have a kitchen with a table, a bath tub, a garden that they can make their own and we can plant their trees in , enough space and a good kitchen for Dh and enough magic and character for me .

Trills · 02/10/2012 08:23

This is a good reason to have a zombie thread.

I'd like to do an experiment where two people both want a Landrover and a lottery win, and one writes it down and the other just thinks "I'd quite like it".

Do you have magic paper or something? :o

Mylittlepuds · 02/10/2012 08:43

This sounds weird but I do this every so often and pop the list n the back of a photo frame. Last time I did it was about five years ago and everything I 'asked for' has happened barring one, which is to write a book. It was quite a long list. I didn't think there was any 'magic' about it, more it helped to focus my mind on the things I wanted to achieve.

I had severe PND after my first DS 17 months ago and because of that we weren't planning on having another baby for at least five years. Anyhow as my list had kind of run out I decided to write a new one, including 'asking for' more babies but without the awful PND. Somehow, despite being careful, I have fallen pregnant! It really is so unlikely, I swear. The message is be careful what you wish for as you might just get it sooner than expected.

sugarice · 02/10/2012 08:51

I did this a few years ago when I was at a very low ebb. Amazingly it did lift my spirits just writing things down and thinking positive .

pongysticks · 02/10/2012 08:57

Love this thread - I'm also in a poor industry and seem to be the only business doing really well, the magic formula of being positive, and asking for things out loud works. I don't write down I never have I just say them out loud, but the things I would like are always business or family related never material objects or money - they all involve work, but are about opportunities coming up.

completely random woo woo but I have just won two new clients with the same name as my good friend who passed away a month ago. Very odd, it's not a common name either.

LesleyPumpshaft · 02/10/2012 09:12

Glad it works for you OP. It is like the law of attraction - you get more of what you focus on. Wink

fuzzypicklehead · 02/10/2012 09:21

If I knew who Mitchy was in RL, I'd send her an anonymous stuffed tiger in the post.

bunnywhack · 02/10/2012 09:47

It has got to be worth a try in a you don't ask you don't get kind of a way so what exactly do i have to do

OnwardBound · 02/10/2012 12:31

I have also done this before in the past and it has worked in spooky ways.

I second making sure you really think about what you are asking for as you might just get it... and sooner than you expect too!

I am now off to write my list and put it in my bag of lucky crystals... yes, more woo but I like it Wink

happybubblebrain · 02/10/2012 12:35

I've tried it a few times, it's never worked for me.
I must be doing something wrong.
I'm yet to be convinced.
