Now we've made it to a fifth thread!

As before, we frame an AIBU from the point of view of a character in a book and everyone tries to guess the book and/or the character.

Everyone welcome to play/time-waste as much or as little as they please.

Does anyone else regret posting wrong answers as they then think they could have used that character themselves, IYSWIM? Sybil Vimes would have been a corker to do......

Morning! Do please do an AIBU with Sybil Vimes,Pol - she is one of my (many)favorite characters!
I am not off on an adventure,nor am I being fired - I feel that it would be wrong for me to stay...

And with that huge clue you must be featuring in "Archer's Goon",Treacle,which I've never read but which is now added to my huge "to read" list

..I feel I may have received income to which I was not entitled.The whole matter was brought up by a friend of my younger daughter;I know she is very fond of him,but now I'm afraid this matter will come between them...

Yep,vicar type person...if I leave this job I will still have £150 a year,I hope that will be enough to live on,my daughter is engaged to her bold young man and he wishes to abandon his complaint against me,but the papers have taken up his cause...
