A continuation of Thread 1.

Strong words but is is how I feel at this point in time. All of them make me feel physically sick. Why? Well many reasons.. Here are just two.

Eg. They won't release sex crime statistics of immigrants / asylum seekers. Why? Other European countries have done, and it is not pretty. Our gvt gives out a leaflet asking them not to rape the locals. Why? Our gvt has said they won't house asylum seekers next to schools and nurseries, why?

Eg. UK now spends more on benefits than it earns in income tax. Labour have increased this - not reduced it. Astonishing. As they say - "Who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others?" That's Labour's Welfare Secretary. He's describing the priorities of Labour MPs.

If the figures showed that men from countries with extremely misogynistic cultures raped and sexually assaulted women less than British men, surely that would be a good thing to publicise? It would put many people’s minds at rest.

What exact data are you looking for ? It can usually be found, it just needs looking for. The above link is an overview, and will likely need a lot of clicks to find what you seek.

Sometimes it does not exist, and it is explained why it does not exist. I recall, for example, that only convictions are recorded and published, wrt race etc, because accusations are not a reliable metric.

Ministry of Justice taking legal action to avoid publishing conviction data broken down by nationality

David Lammy is taking legal action to block publication of foreign nationals’ crime rates in England and Wales, provoking claims of a “cover-up”.
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is seeking to overturn a ruling by the Information Commissioner that data revealing the full scale of foreign offending in England and Wales from 2018 to 2024 should be published.
The Centre for Migration Control (CMC), a think tank, asked the MoJ to reveal the total number of convictions broken down by nationality and offences for the seven years under Freedom of Information (FOI) laws.
But the MoJ claims the cost of providing the information would be disproportionate and that some of the data could lead to the identification of individuals in breach of their rights to privacy if it was published. Both arguments were rejected by the information watchdog.
On Sunday night, opposition parties claimed that the MoJ’s actions amounted to a “cover up”.

I'm having to care for my elderly mum and not allowed to earn more than £204 per week in order to be qualify for the £86 carers allowance. How am I expected to live on £1,200 per month after tax?...working more than full time?

You’re right. The ICO rejected Labour’s reasons for not releasing, Labour are appealing that atm. They may still have to if they lose.

It always goes the same way. Everyone on benefits is lumped into the same box of lazy/shirkers/chancers etc.

The only reason why I'm on UC is because I have a disabled child. My carers allowance is deducted from UC.

2021 is going back a bit. It's almost as if statistics take time to feed through the system and compile.

If I cut and paste ". sex offence figures for Belgium", my top hit is this article. A Feb 2023 newspaper thing.

Thing is, if you just done a 1k post thread on this very subject, I suspect you have already posted that claim, were challenged, and are posting it again. With no data to back it up ?

So when you say it "drains you" to reply, I think just posting with data to back up claims would not drain you. Do the data. Be factual rather than emotive.

Why, for example, are you posting 5 year old stats from Belgium, without including the source for the stats ?

I just wanted to highlight this and say that any general thread on ‘issues of our time’ or ‘why Britains going down hill’ NEEDS to focus on the economic turbulence we have faced since, the 80s really, certainly since buy to let was pushed, technology started taking over jobs and housing became unaffordable to wages in the early 00s.

It is not this government that has caused that, it’s the result of an economic and cultural outlook that has dominated all that time and it needs to stop. It leads to socioeconomic ruin, as it impoverishes the base of the social pyramid and destroys both the old social contracts and the whole point of working for a living.

What do you mean 'all the more reason'? I thought the reason you wanted them deported quickly was because they are 'fighting age' men roaming round the streets, with a high propensity for rape and murder? That you were just concerned about the safety of women and children?
Mothers and babies aren't going to be doing this, are they? They ARE women and children. So what are 'all the reasons' for detaining them in poor conditions before returning them to countries where they are unsafe as quickly as possible?
