To absolutely hate this government, and what they are doing to our country? PART 2

CoventryCity · Yesterday 10:14

A continuation of Thread 1.

Strong words but is is how I feel at this point in time. All of them make me feel physically sick. Why? Well many reasons.. Here are just two.

Eg. They won't release sex crime statistics of immigrants / asylum seekers. Why? Other European countries have done, and it is not pretty. Our gvt gives out a leaflet asking them not to rape the locals. Why? Our gvt has said they won't house asylum seekers next to schools and nurseries, why?

Eg. UK now spends more on benefits than it earns in income tax. Labour have increased this - not reduced it. Astonishing. As they say - "Who can we tax in order to pay benefits to others?" That's Labour's Welfare Secretary. He's describing the priorities of Labour MPs.

In the last financial year, the UK government brought in £331 billion in income tax — and spent even more, £333 billion, on welfare, according to the Office for Budget Responsibility's latest economic and fiscal outlook (obr.uk/efo/economic-and-fiscal-outlook-march-2026/#chapter-6).

The UK exists to protect and safeguard UK citizens. They shouldn't be the charity to whole world. We can't fall for each single emotional arguement.

The safety of British women and children is paramount.

Do you think taking children to riots and letting them speak through a loud speaker is keeping them safe?

LuckyHazelFox · Yesterday 22:36

What you're going to get now though is, I didn't laugh at those murders. No, but did you say something at the time when you saw it? That's what's always expected from the right. I'm fact, we are often told what we are thinking. It's as though we don't even know our own minds or the courage to stand by our own convictions. @Somerford

The Victorians had zero compassion, apart from some charities. Had the Victorians been compulsorily told to put immigrants before natives, I dread to think what would have happened. Those immigrants were a totally different breed too - beyond grateful for the crumbs off the natives' table, obedient, scared to cause a stir and mainly Christian. They knew their place. They felt deep down, that they had to contribute something good to this nation before putting their begging bowls out. Not now - some universities medical and law schools give extra points on applications for either being a migrant or from a migrant background or not speaking English as a native language - so here we have a fast track migrant gravy train - aff the boat and straight into Cambridge, to 'achieve' and patronise the natives about their unearned white privilege.

You don't really do history do you.

Sentimentalist codswallop.

Yet the actions of those who continually spout this utterly contradict this.

There is a saying that actions speak louder than words and the violence being shown by those vigilantes and their supporters speaks volumes.

The examples of those who are organising these protest/ mobs also says a lot, assault including against women, kidnapping, drug dealing are just some of the crimes they've been convicted of. Not people I'd care to associate with or defend personally.

Perhaps its time to agree that right wing figures shouldn't have milkshakes thrown in their faces in the street and that the murders of Charlie Kirk and Anne Widdicombe were reprehensible and worthy of total condemnation also.

I’ve always agreed with that.

I'm not being snarky here, genuine question and I'll take your answer at face value. Did you do much to challenge the reactions to any of those incidents in real time as they were happening?

Palestine Action Group and Antifa get their kicks out of being violent. Do you share the same repulsion for those groups?

The comments I saw were virtually all along the lines of “I think his/her beliefs were abhorrent but nobody’s life should end that way”. There was a lot of empathy for Kirk’s young family. So, no I didn’t challenge those comments because I agreed with them.

Ok. The comments, and indeed videos on various social media platforms, were worse than that by many orders of magnitude. As they are every time a conservative is assaulted or killed. We don't rush to condemnation over things like the assualt at the Reform Party conference because we know its a matter of time before we have to put up with joyous celebrations when something appalling happens to a prominent conservative. Decency and civility has to cut both ways or not at all, we're firmly in not at all mode currently. Both sides will have to agree on better standards for that to change, and that will involve some policing of those on our own respective sides. I don't see it happening.

Why are Raise the Colours lot dressing in black and wearing balaclavas seen as oppressive, military thuggish like, but not Antifa doing exactly the same?

If anyone can give an honest answer to that, I might start meeting others half way. That's only one of the many examples of why I agree with you.

Who is this organisation? Where are it's leaders? You are aware antifa doesn't actually exist aren't you?

Yes 100%. As Sunak said too - it's in their DNA.

Imagine a kid going for their first Saturday job. Working 10 hours, being paid 100GBP . Then being told Now we're going to give 50 GBP that you've earned to that kid over there. But he didn't do any work, he said he didn't want to. I earned that money! Ah yes but he should still be paid, it's only fair. Oh well next time I am not working either, and I will get 50GBP for nothing! What a deal.

Oh my goodness op. The ignorance is strong with this one.

I agree with this in all fairness. It was wrong and it shouldn't have happened, she should have been removed by security in the proper manner and nobody in the audience should have assaulted her.

Perhaps its time to agree that right wing figures shouldn't have milkshakes thrown in their faces in the street and that the murders of Charlie Kirk and Anne Widdicombe were reprehensible and worthy of total condemnation also. I find myself looking at the reactions to such events from "the left" writ large and thinking "why the fuck should I take a single backwards step about any wrong doing on our side? We don't get that courtesy from you, you celebrate when our people get assaulted and murdered and you tell us that they deserved it with a snarl and bared teeth". I still feel that way actually as I'm typing this and thinking back to the most notable incidents in recent years. Its may be that we're past the point of civility and decency toward one another.

Perhaps its time to agree that right wing figures shouldn't have milkshakes thrown in their faces in the street and that the murders of Charlie Kirk and Anne Widdicombe were reprehensible and worthy of total condemnation also. Of course I agree with that too. No one who cares for the rule of law, actual democracy and basic human decency would ever defend such things.

So who are the cowardly thugs who call themselves anti fascists, while attacking women and going armed to meetings with a variety of weapons?

I’m not responsible for content on platforms I don’t use. Perhaps it would be a good idea for you not to tar everyone who differs from you politically with the same brush.

Of course I agree with that too. No one who cares for the rule of law, actual democracy and basic human decency would ever defend such things.

As I said in a subsequent post, it isn't enough to not defend such things if you'd like a return to any sense of civility and a reduction in the levels of polarisation that we see today. Both sides would have to agree on better standards and then actively enforce them.

I'll give you a small sample of the reaction to Charlie Kirk's murder:

https://youtube.com/shorts/aA7bgLmcUkM?is=lh4ejoK1nF7Ryy4v

There were similar videos and comments when Anne Widdicombe was murdered and we see the same gleeful, joyous reaction every time something happens to a prominent conservative in the UK.

When we find ourselves confronted by leftists insisting that we should condemn this or that, whatever comments made by an individual or whatever the current thing happens to be, I don't think you can blame us for thinking "go fuck yourself". Thats where we're at now.
