Just seen a weather report where everyone is super excited about well above average temps.

Our local area water pressure has recently been turned down as a direct result of the drought.

Anyone else just so done with all this?

Exactly. I know very few people who are wishing for it to be minus 6 Celsius! That's bloody FREEEZING. I hate it really cold. It makes me ill, and I get Reynauds in the fingers and toes, and it's so unpleasant. Energy bills are going up a lot this coming winter, and some people are going to struggle to heat their home, and some people will die from the cold. Wishing for minus 6 Celsius is batshit! (As well as selfish!)

Thank you! If I can be told to enjoy the stifling heat and humidity then other people can be told to enjoy a nice fresh frosty walk, frankly.

I don't engage in whataboutery. I don't never mention my children because some people can't have any, or my husband because some people are single.

I'm not "wishing for -6", it's at the bottom of the range I am comfortable in but don't let that get in the way of a narrative, will you. As for health conditions I do actually have one which is exacerbated by the heat - rheumatoid arthritis.

It’s always like this in September. You leave the house in a jumper and by 10/11am you’re sweating your tits off.

I’d much rather be cold and put on more clothes than be so hot but not able to walk around with no clothes on.

it’s fuckinv horrible. I’ve been utterlh miserable and uncomfortable since the beginning of May. Sweat literally pouring off me most days. It’s hideous

I was getting ready for work at a hotel yesterday and had to have a little lie down after blow drying my hair. Felt nauseous. Stepped outside and it was already 18 degrees by 7.30am

Has anyone ever died from the cold? I find that hard to believe. Lowest temps we get are about 5 degrees but that’s outside. Most houses barely go below about 12 degrees. That’s not deadly.

Well it certainly feels that way. I’m in my home office and, yet again, am typing in darkness with the curtains closed because the sun is blazing. When I looked out over the garden, it was so dry I couldn’t sworn I saw a mirage of camels, palm trees and a shimmering pool of water.

I'm afraid there have been people, mostly elderly, who have died from hypothermia in their own homes.

to be fair, I am in London, temperatures have gone back up a bit, I sleep with only a bedsheet and all the windows opened. That said, it's very pleasant, it's not HOT and the nights are absolutely much cooler than the days.

I think the OP exaggerates quite a bit...
