As a secondary source, see figure 1. Yes, the number claiming asylum increased from March 24 to March 25, but then saw a 12% decrease to March 26. And no evidence of a statistically significant increase, as you suggested. You've also conveniently ignored the very sharp increase in those claiming asylum from March 21 to March 23.
