AIBU to find Dawn French's latest Trump comments more sad than funny?

I can't link Dawn French's latest rant, about Trump, but, if anyone else has seen it, do you find it funny. Or just feel very sorry for her?

I think the sort of people who enjoy/are apologists for unarmed civilians and children being slaughtered by terrorist animals during a ceasefire are probably a bit mental anyway, to be honest. Perhaps it's just coming out more as she's getting older. You're right though, somebody close to her should be telling her not to do this - maybe she has nobody close to her anymore due to her awful opinions.

Nobody has to be a Trump fan (I am certainly not) to have written her off forever after her vile, minimising comments after the Oct 7th mass murder at a music festival.

"We did a bad thing" in a baby voice talking about 1200 slaughtered children, teenagers and families. She will never live that down. Not. Ever.

Commenting on the fact that she mocked 1200 slaughtered children, teenagers and families by saying "we did a bad thing" in a baby voice is part of writing her off, and ensuring that her horrifying behaviour is front and centre on a comment forum that is frequented regularly by tabloids for commentary is part of that too.

Yes, exactly. There's more than enough to criticise about Trump without stooping to looking like a crazy, ranting loon. That only makes the ranting person look bad, and their argument seem weak.

It's awful to see. I used to really like her. Or at least, I liked her scriptwriters, it seems.

I've just refreshed myself on her behaviour in regards to October 7th, and god, it was really fucking awful. I don't know what's made her go off the rails, but it's not pleasant to see, no. I used to enjoy her too - always watched Vicar of Dibley around Christmas.

I suppose at least in this case Trump deserves the mockery - but she still looks like a loon.
