AIBU to find Dawn French's latest Trump comments more sad than funny?

I can't link Dawn French's latest rant, about Trump, but, if anyone else has seen it, do you find it funny. Or just feel very sorry for her?

It's very accurate. He has the emotional maturity of a tantrum-prone toddler and the intellectual capacity of a 10yr old on drugs.

She is doing a silly baby voice so yes it is fine to be rude about her.

As others have said she has form for her previous rants targeting Israel and minimising the mass slaughter on Oct 7th as a 'bad thing' so she deserves all the rudeness she gets, she's like that Nadia loose women person just another high profile internet troll.

Fine to criticise Trump but do it as an adult not as a big baby.

I detest Trump and agree with pretty much anything negative said about him but that little rant is childish, a bit pathetic and totally unfunny and adds absolutely nothing to an anti Trump narrative.

Having said that, I find Dawn French's slapstick type 'humour' completely unfunny at the best of times; this is just more of the same.

Comedians giving their opinions on a range of topics in a (they hope) witty manner is most of comedy. Mumsnet giving opinions and judgements is most of MN. PPs saying don’t judge, don’t give opinions are just tiresome and pointless.

She's not funny but to be honest, she's less offensive, annoying and well, frankly dangerous than Trump. I chose my battles as to what I get annoyed about and this isn't even close.

Trump destroying things, starting wars, killing children at school, yeah, that's annoying.

Not anyone. I do think it's OK to make fun of Trump, specifically, being incontinent, though. There's nothing I wouldn't make fun of him for because he's a mad Nazi cunt and wants locking up.

It's indicative of the left's self-congratulatory approach of just virtue signalling rather than actually making an argument and making a difference.

As such I find it more sad than funny, but I don't feel sorry for her; I feel angry at her complacency.

These recent political pronouncements just make her look a bit stupid. She clearly isn't, and I wonder if she's struggling a bit. I think her family should discourage her from doing it. Stick to what you're good at Dawn.

Watch the defense of Andy Burnham's wife, she's unhinged on it. I agree with her message, but the delivery is strange. However my sister is a middle class flag waving wanker and a lot of her friends have development an aggressive, unhinged vibe about them. They are all 65+. It's both left and right who this phenomenon is occurring in.

I think you're missing the point. I don't believe anyone has said she can't criticise anyone or indeed make fun of anyone.

It's the way she does it. The silly voice, the exaggerated facial expression, the gurns. Any 'message' is lost in the why the fuck is she speaking and acting like that?? response.

It’s been a long time since she was funny or indeed a nice person, maybe she is but it never comes over like that.
I don’t like passive aggressive humour immaterial of who it’s about. It’s certainly not funny.
