Saturday to Monday so truly a flying visit. Flying from the southwest.

I recommended Bratislava earlier in this thread simply because it's small and an easily accessible place that's close to the airport.

I'll also vouch for San Sebastian, Rome, Venice, Cadiz, Syracuse/Ortigia in Sicily, but if you're arriving Saturday evening and leaving Monday morning you've only really got two nights and one whole day, Not everything will be open on a Sunday so that limits what you can see and do..

Places like San Sebastian aren't as close to airports and I'd recommend a slightly longer weekend to make the most of the fantastic restaurants and pintxo bars. Cities such as Rome and Venice have so much to see that I think you need at least three nights and two full days (especially if one is a Sunday).

The Isles of Scilly. Anywhere further is not worth it just for a long weekend, and that place is magical. Plus so extortionately expensive 3 days is my limit!
