To say all pro-Palestinians should watch Fauda on Netflix?

Now it is a drama about how the Israeli security services deal with the conflict but it is apparently pretty accurate and is amazingly well produced and acted.

Season 5, which covers Oct 7th has just come out after a long delay.

I've had to take a break after episode 7 because it's so distressing but it still doesn't even come close to what happened that day.

I think it's gives a clearer idea as to the truth of what has been going on and it does try to give a perspective from both sides.

I think every pro-Palestinian should watch it.

Am i missing something or are you?

The report is from Haaretz as I said. The TOI is repeating it.

The stupidity is unreal

FeeFiFoFiddlyFum · 09/09/2026 21:53

You are. The report was published by Haaretz. The Times of Israel have had the report confirmed TO THEM by an Emirati source.

An Emirati source confirms to The Times of Israel a Haaretz report revealing that days before Hamas’s October 7 onslaught, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was personally warned by UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed that the terror group was planning a major attack against Israel.

Perhaps you need to consider the possibility OP that

  1. I am correct in claiming that the Times of Israel have had confirmation that Netanyahu was given credible warning of an imminent Hamas attack and chose to keep the information to himself (you can easily confirm this for yourself by reading carefully what I have posted and linked)

and

  1. that the reports are true (this I imagine will be more difficult for you but I suggest you consider that the liar here may be Netanyahu).
Pollqueen · 09/09/2026 22:10

Thanks for the recommendation OP. I was looking for something to watch. I'm up to the kidnapping of the Sheikh

It's a bit batshit in parts but so far I'm gripped

FuadaFan · 09/09/2026 22:11

Who was the 'Emirati source' who confirmed this warning? Did the TOI name them?

The UAE Foreign Ministry also published a statement on the report, saying it refuses to comment on "speculation" about whether the two countries spoke. Notably, however, the UAE did not confirm or deny the Haaretz report.
"UAE and Israeli government entities have maintained open and direct lines of communication since the inception of the relationship more than five years ago. When necessary, all relevant intelligence has been and continues to be communicated between the relevant entities."
UAE officials also indicated that, from their perspective, it is not their role to issue a denial in response to every media report published in Israel. The message conveyed was that the UAE does not interfere in Israeli elections and will not serve as the government’s “public relations office.”

This is blatant shit stirring in the run up the October election.

Well if that's the case, the TOI should be naming who has 'confirmed' it as the UAE Foreign Ministry hasn't and maybe they'd like to know?

Nope, the leftists have been trying to oust Bibi for the last 10 years.

The outrage when he's elected again will be interesting to see.

BerthaPotts · 09/09/2026 22:35

It's like the OP hasn't even considered that Netanyahu is a liar.

Imagine reading about this and your only concern being how it will affect Netanyahu’s election prospects.

FuadaFan · 09/09/2026 23:06

Just finished Episode 8 of Season 5.

Fictionally presented (and done well) but it was extremely realistic and depicted real life events.

Horrendous

I think Netanyahu has balls of steel and he must remain in power, or (misplaced) guilt ridden leftists will destroy Israel with suicidal empathy for a 2 State solution.

That's the only reason it's popped up 3 years later, a month before the election.

I loved Fauda. I didn’t realise there’s a new series.

marlboro · 09/09/2026 23:36

Why would I want to give money to/ support/ listen to stories told by two men who think it’s ok to commit war crimes?

I think the majority of people, including the international arrest warrant issuers, think he’s a war criminal. Are you rage baiting or are you just a troll?

Not at all.

I'm not dumb enough to believe a ICJ chief prosecutor accused of sex crimes by his assistant, who just happened to cancel a FACT FINDING 'on the ground' mission to Gaza, due to start on the day he issued arrest warrants, is credible.

Maybe you do though?

If you have Sky, you don't have to pay for Netflix anymore. Not that you'd be paying anymore to watch Fauda if you have Netflix anyway.

Just a tip.

nobody can get into Gaza. They can’t even give anasthetic to babies.
I’ll believe the hundreds of medics, other people in the icj over a man who murders babies in the name of god any day thanks

I won't be watching, nor would I watch a drama from the opposite point of view. I wish both sides well, but it's none of my business. I am too busy clinging on to what is left of my own f-ing identity and culture to worry about anyone else's.

The left are so smug and self-righteous about the Palestinians. Yet it is the globalist left who have destroyed the identities and cultures of Western Europe. They have done all they can to make us hate and reject our own history. They have demonised our national heroes, torn down our statues, and 'de-colonised' our libraries. They 'cancel' people who speak out, or they hound them from their jobs. They have IMPOSED multiculturalism on us, and and made us frightened to protest. They do all that, then expect us to care about the Palestinians!

Yup.

Shall we start with the 1967 borders ?

You want to give the land back to Jordan

The two elements in this conflict cannot make peace why would you want to add a third.

Surely the better response would have been 'Shall we start with the 1947 border'. Though that does make Jordan and Israel disappear. Possibly you may get a few objections there but makes more sense that ending the idea of a separate Palestinian state which is what you post would mean.
