To say all pro-Palestinians should watch Fauda on Netflix?

Now it is a drama about how the Israeli security services deal with the conflict but it is apparently pretty accurate and is amazingly well produced and acted.

Season 5, which covers Oct 7th has just come out after a long delay.

I've had to take a break after episode 7 because it's so distressing but it still doesn't even come close to what happened that day.

I think it's gives a clearer idea as to the truth of what has been going on and it does try to give a perspective from both sides.

I think every pro-Palestinian should watch it.

I don't agree with a lot of what you've posted but I do agree Fauda is a good show, and people should watch it.

I don't support a lot of the current government's actions but that doesn't mean I hate the IDF or think Israel should not fight Hamas.

I've read that quite a few Arabs watch Fauda also, over the border as well as within Israel.

> There were many other Israeli authorities there prior to the tank arriving.

Yes, but who and how many? Very few military leaders are going to try and take on 40 terrorists without serious firepower. It would be suicide.

May I suggest you read a bit about this tragedy prior to firing off comments?

Yes, exactly. Notwithstanding the one guy calling me and @FuadaFan paid shills

Not everything is a Jewish conspiracy Holly.

I didn’t say it was a Jewish conspiracy. I said this particular forum was hijacked a long time ago. Such a shame as no room balanced discussion.

I'm simply detailing the realities of combat scenarios and how easy it is for tragedies to happen in those contexts.

Israeli soldier describes arbitrary killing of civilians in Gaza

ANOTHER anonymous soldier?

I wonder how Sly news verified he was who he said he was and whether he was part of the operations he said he was without checking with the IDF, as they're the only ones who could verify that information?

"I think the war is... a very bad thing that is happening to us, and to the Palestinians, and I think it needs to be over," he said.

I guess someone who had strong feelings like that, maybe suffering from PTSD, may be confused in thinking that 'speaking out' will make the world hate his fellow soldiers more (and try to hunt them down as they have been doing) so they will just refuse to serve and the war will end? Does he even realise that Hamas started the war, have STILL refused to surrender, and that article was over a year ago.

Have any Hamas soldiers come forward anonymously to describe Hamas operational tactics?

It’s just so bizarre. I really don’t feel like there’s a pro-Israel bias on MN.
If anything, it’s the opposite, especially on the CITME board.
Yet some people seem to find it so unfathomable that someone might be actually speaking out in support of Israel, that the only way they can explain it is Hasbara or some mysterious hijacking accusations.

I hope people are able to see and reflect on the revelations in the documentary NAZA.The Israeli makers are now threatened with "revocation of their citizenship"

BTW here is a review of NAZA by someone who knows one of the filmmakers highlighting the very weaknesses others mentioned: anonymous sources which can't be verified, inconsistent reporting, etc.

I am using screenshots as the article is behind a paywall. Its from Haaretz, the same Israeli newspaper which published a favourable review, so this is both sides.

Yep I’m one of the people who finds it unfathomable. I cannot imagine justifying their actions.

bdaypartyfood · Yesterday 20:02

I would suggest that you watch Louis Theroux’s documentary on Israeli settlers for an actual unbiased view on the conflict

No, weirdly enough! However, this Kurdish doctor has come forward and spoken about Hamas abuse of medical workers and civilian infrastructure.

If you and @FuadaFan want some first hand accounts from soldiers then go and read from Breaking the Silence - on their website or Instagram account - there’s a lot for you to read on there.

I know what I see happening around me irl and where it's coming from... and what I think about it.
Mn has been educational these last 20 odd years.
