Christ no. I don't mind the cold but I hate the dark. That has just depressed me to think of it - those days where it feels like the sun never gets up and the sky is falling on your head. Ugh.

Also we don't tend to get much frost until Jan/Feb here. First frost has been in December the last few years, and it's always mild and grey at Christmas.

From someone who is living through winter atm, including those frosty mornings, you are mad! The sunny days are lovely, but the frosts themselves are far too cold and I'm hanging out for summer.

As for wanting to be cold - there are no words!!!!

Come to the South Island of NZ, we have plenty here! I don't enjoy winter, but do kind of get what you mean. On the days we just have cloud (or even worse, rain) I just about go crazy, so while I don't like the frosts I do love the sunny days.

God no - I hate being cold. My house gets cold and nothing worse than having to wear lots of layers just to keep warm.

I feel so happy and healthy in warm weather. Love seeing all the plants looking green and luscious in my small garden.

I am with you OP. I have seriously struggled with recent heatwaves, it’s actually destroyed me. Today was humid again here, my brain just stops functioning, I am at hyper levels of stress with some family stuff & really need to operate at my usual strength in the next 3 months.

Absolutely not. 9 months now the year UK weather is either wet cold dull windy or miserable.
I love not being tense with cold stepping out my door,getting out of bed for a wee in the night etc.
Summer is ridiculously short.

No, thank you! My favourite season is Spring as everything is fresh, new, flowers are in bloom and it's a period of new life. I do find the full on-ness (not a word!) of Summer a bit much but it's still nice too- with lovely long days, beach trips and ice cream. Autumn is dark, the days are short, it rains and there are even more viruses circulating. Autumn/Winter is just a period to survive/get through.
