I've come to the conclusion that I like the idea of seasons but not the reality. Long, warm summer days in the garden: yes I like the light but apparently I am useless in any temperature over 22 and can't sleep if it's warm. Love the idea of frosty mornings until I slip and slide to defrost the car. Snow is great - for 2 days.
Basically I need to live where it's about 20 degrees in the day, 10 at night, slightly cloudy and doesn't go dark until 9pm .

I LOVE being snowed in. I love doing a MASSIVE shop, talking about it endlessly to the poor woman at the asda checkout, then getting to watch lots of TV and eat my body weight in soups and stews

Fine for 2 days (a year). Then it becomes a slushy inconvenience. And my water supply has probably frozen.

I’m not too keen on winter but I also don’t enjoy summer especially with these dreadful heatwaves.

What I’m really looking forward to is September and October, I’d happily reside in those two months for eternity.

I agree! Chilly enough in evenings for blankets and maybe a fire but still bright days, often sunny. I love the beautiful colours of nature during those months 🧡
