What about the foreign policy decisions we are still making. Have you seen what’s happening with minerals on the African Continent?

You spelled UK wrong there.

Canzuk, USA, lots of the EEA and Switzerland

I wonder what they all have in common.

Mmmhm.

Plenty of individual's needs are always pointed out on this topic. Governments have to do what's right for the collective good. Putting Britain's interests first is paramount.

Yes

Protecting human rights, workers rights, womens rights is putting Britain first.

You want to get rid of the ECHR to stop a small group of people coming to the UK

How is that good for the collective?

But you’re being sold a pup that immigration is the biggest cause of our ills. Super-wealthy men with numerous tax avoidance routes are telling you that the reason you don’t have enough money is the 0.001% of the population who are asylum seekers. When actually, if tax avoidance was stopped - by taxing assets - there would suddenly be a considerable amount more to go round. The likes of Starbucks and Amazon should not be allowed to pay less tax than you and I.

i don’t believe all Reform/Restore voters are racists. I believe all racists are Reform/Restore voters and I think the rest are people sick of being shafted, but AGAIN believing the very people doing the shafting, despite the glaringly obvious confidence trick that was Brexit.

LuckyHazelFox · 17/07/2026 19:25

Putting Britain first is protecting our borders, defence and security. That is currently being hampered by not having British sovereignty.

Incorporate all the laws we want domestically. Protect our borders and reclaim full control of immigration.

Why this constant assumption that I'm only concerned about immigration? I really don't care what you think Reform/Restore voters are because it's just lazy words. If the time came and I thought Reform was the right party for me, I would weigh up the options against what the Tories had to offer. I have never and will never vote Labour. It's actually the people who keep on about their individual circumstances who aren't thinking outside their own box. Anything beyond that is everyone else racist bigots.

How do we not have full control of immigration?

Point based system and an asylum process.

All the laws we want, any of the ECHR protections you don't want?

But that was why we had Brexit.

Sovereignty

Are you saying we were lied to Shock

When did UK not have control of their borders, we are an island.

The Labour gov HO was overruled in this case, they don’t have full control.

The home office can apparently have their denial of 18 people's permission to enter be reversed.

Most people will vote for the party that will get rid of the evils of socialism and redistribution of income. Why should hard working people have their money confiscated to pay for the obese, the lazy or women who choose to get pregnant and want their employers to pay for their time off or their medical bills, or for the unemployed. Rupert Lowe is right, we need to ensure that this country is fit for the sovereign individual that drives economic growth and innovation. We need to close the NHS and close our borders as we are full and will sink into the sea if we get more people. We don’t need anything from abroad. We should build British like we used to and grow our own food and drill our own oil. The climate change hoaxers, the trade unionists, the idle, the lazy, the weak, the woke and the hard left have no place in this sceptr’d Isle, this nation of heroes this England. Only when Restore deports every single stranger in our land will he be great again.

Daafdjdnd · 17/07/2026 19:38

People say "oh sovereignty doesn't mean anything" but do you NOT think that the laws that happen in the UK should be controlled by elected officials that the UK vote for?

It was the UK Court making that decision

We can change that law then. That law letting those people come in, we can change it so that others can't come this way.

Isn’t the whole point of the thread whether that should happen

From the article
An immigration tribunal has now overturned the home secretary, Shabana Mahmood’s, decision and ruled that the woman can bring her relatives, arguing that refusing entry would breach her right to family life under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).

The population of the UK is 69 million.

0.001% of that is 690.

Where did your numbers come from?

Mahmood is changing the law, voted for by Labour MPs including Burnham. Whether it’ll clash with the ECHR as this case did I guess we’ll see.
