Husband pees on seat, rim and floor, says its normal

As the title says. And me and my 16 y o daughter wipe it up as we don’t want to sit on it or have it touch our legs or feet (if splashed on the floor) and it’s not water as it’s yellow.
Sometimes there is small bits of poo on the floor and he says that is also normal and that all men have issues with aim etc and the poo is a mistake...
We clean it as we share a bathroom and we prefer it clean.
He asked me to post here and says he is a standard man when it comes to this. He’s 53.

IABU - for flagging it
NBU - for flagging it

This is insane! I am in possession of a penis & I've never pissed on a seat, or indeed had a pee with the seat up, and the poo out of the loo my god.

I don't actually know what to say. If this isn't a wind up christ what a particularly foul & shit (excuse the pun) example of my gender.

DahliaDelights · 12/07/2026 21:37

No its not normal, and hes a disgusting horrible man if he doesnt leave a toilet clean for the rest of the family to use.

He expects you to clean up his pis or sit in his piss and look at his shit on the floor. Absolute skank of a man.

He has no respect for either of you and if it were my house i'd shout him every single time to come clean the toilet telling him hes a dirty disgusting bastard.

If you have more than one toilet, he would be banished to one, he can leave that toilet as dirty as he wants because its his responsibility to clean it.

Disgusting man.

Julytrees · 12/07/2026 20:38

We have argued many times about it. He said “post on Mumsnet”

It is beyond batshit that anyone isn’t completely ashamed that they’ve left poo on the floor. You’ve argued about whether it’s right that he leaves his shit for you and his child to clean up? Op, this is absurd.

CustardySergeant · 12/07/2026 20:42

2% have voted that YABU for flagging it! WTF?

Edited

That will be for the op not leaving this man.

D3vonmaid · 12/07/2026 21:44

That’s completely disgusting and I hope you are going to show him every single one of these posts telling him just how gross it is. Being a man does not give you an excuse to piss and shit everywhere. He needs to know that each and every time he uses the toilet, he needs to wait, wipe and ensure the area is clean for the next person. If he’s not prepared to do this, tell him to live somewhere else.
he’s disgusting, disrespectful and entitled.

Julytrees · 12/07/2026 21:44

He says it’s accidental and that he can’t see it as he doesn’t have his glasses on

OP posts:
Dobeebeedah · 12/07/2026 21:52

Even our cat uses the litter tray without leaving a mess. Put him outside to piss and shit in another house.

BlueMum16 · 12/07/2026 21:56

Julytrees · 12/07/2026 21:44

He says it’s accidental and that he can’t see it as he doesn’t have his glasses on

He's a dirty and lazy fucker.
Tell him to sit down in future and clean-up after himself.

No one should have to clean another person's shit/piss especially your child

cantthinkofagoodusername2026 · 12/07/2026 21:57

Julytrees · 12/07/2026 21:44

He says it’s accidental and that he can’t see it as he doesn’t have his glasses on

OK but now he's surely well aware of the problem and needs to wear his glasses to go to the toilet! If he cares one iota about you and your daughter, he will solve this very easily solvable problem.

Edit to add: please don't tell me you reward this utterly vile individual by having sex with him? He surely cannot expect you to find him attractive.

lazyarse123 · 12/07/2026 21:58

He is disgusting. I have continence issues and know that I might dribble so I automatically wipe the seat because I don't have my glasses on either so that's a crock.

TimeFlysWhenYoureHavingRum · 12/07/2026 22:01

Around 50% of the humsn population are male and this is absolutely not "normal". You've found a rematkable anomaly. Well done... I guess.

ExOptimist · 12/07/2026 22:03

Have you shown him this thread yet OP? He can't even say it's all women replying as there have been men saying how disgusting he is too.

arethereanyleftatall · 12/07/2026 22:04

Julytrees · 12/07/2026 21:44

He says it’s accidental and that he can’t see it as he doesn’t have his glasses on

Then put his glasses on?!? Rocket science, this isn’t.

Lucyccfc68 · 12/07/2026 22:05

Just asked my 21 year old DS and he said ‘is her husband taking the piss, of course it’s not normal, the dirty bugger.

If his aim is that bad, then he needs to sit down and use his hand to point his dick into the toilet bowl. He needs to use tissue to dab the end so no urine goes on the seat or floor. As for getting Pooh on the floor - how does the dirty fucker even manage that if he is sat on the toilet. Just tell him to wipe his arse properly.

You and your poor daughter should not be cleaning up after him. What is he - a
4 year old? Every single time, send him back to clean his piss and shit. If it’s not spotless - keep sending him back until it is.

Rewis · 12/07/2026 22:06

He told you to ask mn if it is normal for a man to ask teenager girld to clean up shit he smeared on the floor?

Lucyccfc68 · 12/07/2026 22:07

Julytrees · 12/07/2026 21:44

He says it’s accidental and that he can’t see it as he doesn’t have his glasses on

I sometimes forget my glasses, but it doesn’t mean I piss and shit on the floor.

arethereanyleftatall · 12/07/2026 22:07

ExOptimist · 12/07/2026 22:03

Have you shown him this thread yet OP? He can't even say it's all women replying as there have been men saying how disgusting he is too.

I would imagine if a person doesn’t leave a relationship when they, and their dd, have to clean up an able bodied persons shit, and check if that’s normal, reading this thread won’t make a lot of difference.

DemelzaandRoss · 12/07/2026 22:08

LTB.
Completely, 100% revolting.

SouthLondonMum22 · 12/07/2026 22:10

It sounds like he makes more mess than my 3 year old and even he is encouraged to attempt to clean up after himself.

I have never and would never clean up after someone at the toilet unless they are my own small child.

nutbrownhare15 · 12/07/2026 22:10

I've seen it be necessary to post a sign in public loos to 'please leave this toilet clean for the next person who uses it.' is he really suggesting that it's ok to leave no.1s and 2.s for the next person (i.e. you or dad) to clean up. Does he see you as his skivvies?

LastoneYawning · 12/07/2026 23:09

Julytrees · 12/07/2026 21:44

He says it’s accidental and that he can’t see it as he doesn’t have his glasses on

Then he needs to put his glasses on to go to the toilet and he needs to put more effort in to focusing on aim and cleaning himself. May be he needs to google how if he’s always been like this. Does his mother say he’s always done this? How did his toilet training go as a kid? Did he do this in your honeymoon? If it’s a new thing, what does he think is the cause?

Regardless of his ability to toilet like an adult, he can clean the toilet.

ByRoseBiscuit · 12/07/2026 23:12

Ew definitely not normal, and absolutely lazy and grim leaving it for someone else to clean up.

randomchap · 12/07/2026 23:36

And yet you still married him and had a child.

Did this not come up when dating? Living together?

It's not normal. Piss and shit go in the toilet, then flushed. Any marks cleaned and flushed again.

Why the fuck does he think pissing everywhere is normal. It most certainly is not

Fluffybuns88 · 12/07/2026 23:48

Having a crap aim is one thing, not wiping it up is grim. Doesn't this completely put you off any intimacy? If he's not wiping piss and shit off the floor I wouldn't be confident he's wiping his arse either. 😩

NewNameDontKnowWhat · Yesterday 00:00

Not normal at all. My DH of 20 years has never left the bathroom in a mess.
