Husband pees on seat, rim and floor, says its normal

Julytrees · Yesterday 20:03

As the title says. And me and my 16 y o daughter wipe it up as we don’t want to sit on it or have it touch our legs or feet (if splashed on the floor) and it’s not water as it’s yellow.
Sometimes there is small bits of poo on the floor and he says that is also normal and that all men have issues with aim etc and the poo is a mistake...
We clean it as we share a bathroom and we prefer it clean.
He asked me to post here and says he is a standard man when it comes to this. He’s 53.

IABU - for flagging it
NBU - for flagging it

It’s not normal, it’s utterly disgusting.

DelphiniumBlue · Yesterday 20:09

Disgusting. I have a DH and 3 sons, and can categorically say it is not normal. It's grim and also disrespectful - he knows it's there, and chooses not to clean it up, because why should he when he's got you to do it for him.
I would actually refuse to live like that. Why are you only just now calling him out on it? Is he a new husband?

didntlikeanyofthesuggestions · Yesterday 20:09

Piss and shit on the bathroom floor is obviously not normal

KayFabe · Yesterday 20:14

Make him use a litterbox if he doesn't know how to use a toilet properly. He's not even toilet trained.

ExOptimist · Yesterday 20:14

It's absolutely not normal, your husband is disgusting.

I've lived with a father, husband and son and regularly visit the homes where male relatives live. Not one of them has ever left piss or shit anywhere in the bathroom. They aim properly and if they miss I can only assume they wipe it up because I've never seen piss on the seat or floor.

How can someone get to 53 and still be so foul? More importantly how have you put up with it for so long?

Harrietsaunt · Yesterday 20:14

No. It’s not normal. He’s a disgusting pig

Hohofortherobbers · Yesterday 20:15

Foul.

Naurrr · Yesterday 20:19

Is it some kind of filthy (literally) kink or dominance thing? 🤢
There's no reason on earth to live like this, or inflict the man on your daughter.

Cherrysoup · Yesterday 20:20

Of course it isn’t normal! He’s disgusting and should sit to pee if he can’t aim and it goes in the wrong place. If it does go elsewhere, he needs to clean scrupulously, it is utterly foul and disgusting leaving it for others, you poor thing and your poor dd! I have never known this happen in my house.

Unfortunately, at work, I had to report a colleague who left the unisex toilet in an unbelievable state. We all knew it was him because he’d be seen going in and if you tried to go in afterwards, it would look like a scene from Trainspotting. Completely disgusting.

I’d call him in every time if he’s in the house and give him the cleaning materials. Supervise. Bet it miraculously improves really quickly. He’s wrong to say it’s normal. Normal to be an unhygienic skank? Normal to expect the females in the house to clean up after him? Abhorrent. I could not have sex with such a disgusting person. Major ick.

TheJoyousHiker · Yesterday 20:23

Absolutely disgusting. Neither my DH or my two older teenage boys leave a mess behind them when they use the toilet, ever.

Maybe your DH needs medical advice if he cannot use a toilet like most adults. At the very least he should clean his own mess. What sort of a person is he that he’s happy for his wife or daughter to walk into the bathroom to be faced with his mess. He has no respect for either of you. Utterly grim and awful for your DD that she has to clean up after her Dad.

Dweetfidilove · Yesterday 20:23

Tell the nasty fucker, all the men here (I have a few over at the mo) think he's disgusting. Yuck!

Everydayimhuffling · Yesterday 20:23

OP, I make my 6 year old clean up if he misses and gets pee on the floor or toilet. There is absolutely no way I would clean it up if DP did that. I would wake him up or get him from wherever he was and expect him to clean it. Btw, as I tell my small child frequently, there is absolutely no excuse for getting pee on the seat because if you are peeing standing up then you should be picking the seat up. I can't believe he makes his child clean up his pee. That's horrifying.

As a retired nurse; this is not at all unusual.
Lots of little factors contribute to the problem; weight, length of the penis, hydration, age as it relates to prosate health.
Stool, that again not unusual due to hair in the area.
What helps, prostate check, weight management so he can see his stream. Fluids, hydrated but not too much.
Wet wipes for cleaning the bottom works better than TP, bidet attachment also very helpful.

LastoneYawning · Yesterday 20:26

Including family I have lived with six males, including my teenage son and not one of them did this. My son has NEVER done this, even in the early days of toilet training.

But wet wipes should NOT be flushed of course.

He doesn’t make us clean it, it’s just like that in the morning sometimes

Well if he’s not cleaning it straight after, then he is ‘making you clean it’ given females sit down unless you want to sit in his piss? You don’t really have any choice but to clean it do you?

Julytrees · Yesterday 20:27

It is mainly on the rim (as the seat is left up) but he flushes with the lid open so I see it and wipe it as when I sit down the wee touches my thigh from the side of the rim.

He asked me to post this as he says most men do sprinkle and get it on toilet or floor.

Am not making this up!!

I live with two men and neither do this. Its disgusting frankly and lazy.

I agree
and I wouldn’t put up with it
he’d be out
disgusting and un-necessary

catsarethefuture · Yesterday 20:30

And you willingly share a bed with him?

What everyone is telling you is, that’s fine if you miss, BUT YOU CLEAN UP YOUR OWN PISS. Even if it’s in the middle of the night.

If he misses then he needs to sit down to pee. He needs to double check he has left it clean before he leaves the bathroom. Leave a cleaning spray by the toilet - a quick squirt of that and a wipe with toilet paper, then flush it away and all fresh for the next person.

I couldn’t live with the poo situation. If he is able bodied he should either learn to not soil or stay and clean it up before he leaves.

Sex with a man who left me his poo to clean up would NEVER happen 🤢

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · Yesterday 20:32

What on earth is wrong with you that you're not marching him in there to clean it himself? Instead you let your daughter clean up the man's toilet mess!? You're as irresponsible as he is.

CustardySergeant · Yesterday 20:33

My husband has never done this in the 51 years I've known him. Not once. He's 80 this year.

Randomlygeneratedname · Yesterday 20:33

My 2 year old boy can manage to not do this when he uses the toilet, why doesn't HE wipe it up? I can't imagine a world where I would leave a toilet in a mess and then expect my 16 year old child (future me speaking) to clean it up.

I honestly could not live like this.
