AIBU with my reaction to DP’s humiliating TikTok?

Weeks76 · Yesterday 22:00

I have had 4 different friends message me today to say they saw a video which included my partner on TikTok. There’s a local account which always posts videos of interviews with the public and businesses particularly people on nights out and drunk. DP watched the England game in a bar so was out really late, and was interviewed on the street after. Everyone was really jubilant, the person filming asked him “after such a long night, do you have anything left in the tank” and he replied “that’s for me to know and the missus to find out when I’m home” to a load of laughter.

I was asleep with our DS and up early so I obviously wasn’t waiting up for him. I’ve told him I don’t see the funny side and he has just said he was absolutely plastered, really buzzing after the match and got carried away so I should just laugh it off. Am I wrong to still find it offensive?

It amazes me how uptight some women are on here regarding sex. It was a joke.

It amazes me how willing some women are takes in by the “it was only a bit of banter” line when men are behaving like disrespectful pigs

Did you find it irksome when you announced your pregnancy to the same friends? As that's just letting them know you've shagged him at least once. Jesus wept get a grip woman

Luvnhugs · Today 07:28

That's hilarious 😂I would have been delighted I was on his mind after a night like that 😂

Larrythecatforpm · Today 07:29

Obviously it was a joke. Some people just have no sense of humor and it shows!

Icanseeasquirrel · Today 07:36

Absolute non event. Mild drunken joke. Nothing disrespectful about it.

Seajaye · Today 07:37

Cringeworthy maybe, but not something to have an argument about. Just forget about it unless you have underlying problems in your marriage.

You are a prude. That's quite clear from your responses to everyone finding your DPs comment funny - me included.
Sex is normal, especially between two consenting adults who have chosen to build a life together.
Being private is fine, but we all know that couples have sex, especially couples with children.
Honestly OP, lighten up.
And as for the wank fodder response...... get a grip.

You are using the word prude as if it’s a bad thing! Odd. Yes sex is normal so why make a comment like that to a stranger , it’s terribly puerile.

Comeonelieen · Today 07:43

I mean if there’s someone out there making TicTok videos of drunk people then I doubt any of them come across that well. It’s just bad luck you have four (4) friends who are into that kind of thing.

Oncemorewithsome · Today 07:49

I’d be super embarrassed but at the end of the day he is making a drunken joke which is faithful to your marriage. I think it’s a forgivable thing.

MrsVBS · Today 07:50

Sorry I thought this was quite funny!

Disturbia81 · Today 07:50

You sound a bit prudish

No pants dance sounds like something a toddler would do. Put their pants on their head and run around or something.

Cant believe those words came out of an adults mouth tbh. 😂

That's why I queried it, I thought she cannot actually mean shagging as who would say 'no pants dance' 😂

Love your description - so true!!!

Tinkalinkalink · Today 07:57

I'm so glad no one has made a tik tok of me when I'm drunk! Wtaf! Your dhs reaction was funny and not remotely offensive. No one is thinking of you having sex op. No one has shown any brutal honesty. Think life is stressing you out!

farfallarocks · Today 07:59

I would find this rather endearing and sweet to be honest.

SP2024 · Today 08:02

Haha, I thought that’s quite a clever response we for someone so drunk and tired. It could have been much worse! It would t bother me

I can’t get over the cringe of them having the mental image of me doing the no pants dance to be honest!

Wow. That is one of the most uptight things I have ever read. You have a child. Grow up

I doubt anyone other than you is still thinking about it. Maybe time to let it go.

basiically · Today 08:16

A drunk joke get over it.
Some of the things you said on here op are cringey more than what he said.

EdithBond · Today 08:30

YANBU to find it offensive.

If he’s married to you and loves you, he should know that crosses a boundary FOR YOU, even if others might find it funny.

IMHO, it’s bad enough to be pissed on Tik Tok. Why not simply avoid the Tik Toker? But even worse to bring you into it. And it’s the bravado and possessiveness, rather than the sex joke, per se. The ‘joke’ that he’ll go home and expect to have sex with you.

To each their own, but I wouldn’t be attracted to a man prone to those sort of ‘jokes’.

In the main, he is I would say. I think it’s that this was so public and seen by my friends which is irksome.

Do your friends not realise that you have sex with him?

It's a nothing comment and actually quite sharp for a pissed man on the spur of the moment.

Your point is a valid one.

I appreciate the over whelming view here and I’m not going to argue it, I suppose I need to get over it. Thanks for the brutal honesty, I’m going to drop out now.

good on you op. Now brace for his comments when Eng knock out Norway, and when they win the WC. Better still get on that tiktok after the next Eng win and say you hope h nails you this time because wasnt up to it after the Mexico game...😂
