I mean really, this is just pathetic. No one is believing that KC couldn’t find a spare bed for his son. AIBU to think that as the parent KC needs to get a grip and grow up instead of just fuelling the drama?

Harry only knows how to be Harry , and that was good enough when he had the support of “the men in grey “ and was a working royal, just showing up was rewarded then , however it just doesn’t cut it in the real world where people expect actual work to be considered before shelling out money.

Newname26 · 10/07/2026 18:21

That would involve actually working. Rather than just rocking up and shaking a few hands.

Or his habit of full on hugs.

FenellaFeldman · 10/07/2026 16:55

You think Charles and William should control the press?
Blimey, there are some hardcore royalists on here!

I know this isn't North Korea. I think some people need to educate them on what a constitutional monarch actually is. They can't;

Control the press
Make security decisions
Pay police officers
Ban people from coming into the UK or take their kids

Do people really want to live in a dictatorship?

Apparently so if it means their heroes get their way 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you. I do wonder what people imagine is happening in the UK with the law and the press and what the monarch can and can't do!
Extraordinary.
Although not as funny as when that poster on another thread kept arguing that the King is "omnipotent"!
She wouldn't have it that he wasn't! 😂

Yes, I think that's what the bottom line is.

@jeffgoldblum That's exactly it.

So KC and QC met Harry and family in private. No photographs. I think this is a test KC has set for the Sussexes, to see whether any photos leak from their side. Maybe KC will trust them a little more if nothing is leaked in the coming months.

NautilusLionfish · 10/07/2026 11:36

no. He has no reason to want to do that. He loves her deeply. Forsaking all others incl his own family, friends and country. No way he xould do that.

Yes the poor, brainwashed, fool!

So KC invited them round, after everything they've said and done. Very magnanimous and accommodating.

I don't think he's brainwashed. I think he's gaslit her into his ' poor me' routine and how hard done by he is and she's fallen for it and is now stuck with an ageing man child. But he won't be able to leave as she's now got the kids safely in the US.

Nah. He's brainwashed. She's gaslit him. She's got form.

CoffeeCantata · 11/07/2026 15:23

KC has played a blinder. He's seen the dodgy pair, but apparently not alone (which I'm sure is what H wanted). Camilla was there, which won't have pleased Harry, and I should think other people too - grey suits, I hope.

Then Meghan was only allowed in with the kids at a specific point, and they are not allowed to publish any photographs. I'm guessing they've been sworn to keep the conversation confidential too.

I should imagine H & M are frothing at the mouth at not being able to publicise the photos and monetise them.

After all, there's a lawyers' bill to pay now.

The only person I feel sorry for is William who must have been nauseated by this - but really it was a good move by KC in that it ought to shut the Sussexes up for a while.

Now they need to contact Meghan's father before he dies. Oh wait - he's not in a position to bung them millions of pounds, so maybe not.

Fair points - especially the last one!

I expect they've already done an interview, accompanied by loads of sadface photos, giving a detailed and highly embroidered account of what they claim happened, how hurt they were by various people's words/tones of voice/actions, how Harry was desperate to have a heart to heart with his father but was stopped by Camilla/William/Kate/officials etc. It wouldn't surprise me to hear that Diana's ghost turned up as well to support H and M.

I think he's being the best dad he can be under difficult circumstances...

True 😊

I agree. If he wanted to see his grandchildren, he could have gone to the USA.

Fionuala · 11/07/2026 18:46

what? after all the stuff Harry wrote about them
all they want to do is monetize their connections incl to monarchy which they previously thrashed??? how can they be trusted??

Yup, if he was being reasonable he’d stop the men in grey suits & sort out his own family problems. None of them are fantastic parents.

Harry is 41. I think he shouldn't really need Daddy to sort him out now.

@Desperatelyseekinglazysusan I don't think he's gaslit her either. She wanted the royal status so she overlooked it/ignored it, plus it was easier to deal with when the men in grey suits organized everything for them.

Now that they have to organize their own lives, I imagine it's pretty difficult not being able to rely on him, but she's stuck. Hopefully they do really love it other, but I don't envy her situation (although I wouldn't mind the mansion, household help, etc. :-).

Coming to 42. Meghan is nearly 45. Which is kind of middle-aged.

It’s a bit embarrassing to be dependent on dad at that age. I’d built a career of my own by then, on my own merits.
