Its a group holiday one...

13 girls going on holiday.
In hotel there is 2 rooms of 4 people, 1 room of 3 people and 1 room of 2 people.
The organiser has planned that everyone pays the same so the people who only have to share with 1 person will pay the same as the people who have to share with 3.
Surely this isnt fair and the cost should be split by room? So for example if a room for 4 is 200, that group pays 50 each.
What would you do in a group whatsapp situation where everyone else has agreed to this...
AIBU to speak up and ask for the cost to be split more fairly? The room for 2 has obviously already been bagged.

How long did you have to revert? I'd have been replying in seconds saying "love you all, so much 😆, but not enough to share a bed! I'll book seperately tonight. If you can share the booking reference I'll ask to be the same block."

FHS this sort of theing rarely ends happily there's always going to someone annoyed - a bit like splitting the bill after a meal out and the person who didn't eat as much wants to pay less!

WHY didn't you all agree at the beginning that the total cost was to be split regardless and then those who had an issue from the outset could opt out?!

Have you already paid? I'd be tempted to say actually I'll sort my own accommodation as I don't plan to share a bed.

I just sucked it up eventually because someone asked me to share a 3 person room with them and with the hotel that the organiser has chosen, there isnt that much difference in price between a 2 person room and 3 person room. Would not have wanted to go in a 4 person room!!! Also I'm happy to be sharing with people who wont roll in at 4am.

may I suggest that you use the Splitwise app. It works out exactly what each person needs to pay. You can also add expenses on to it. Ie if someone pays for coffees for all 13, it will wcost right that out. It really is brilliant. We use it on all group holidays saves all arguments.
