No point in you posting really is there? This thread is about a report that you didn't bother to read.

This is truly horrific..I hardly have words. But also the lack of traction on here. Why?

I see posters on here daily, almost constantly..they live their lives on here they post so much i wonder if they ever leave the house. Not on here though.

And, almost certainly if this was white working class men they would be all over it.

Because people don’t want to admit that diversity isn’t our strength and different cultures and religions hold different beliefs and values to us in this country.

They understandably have to be very careful regarding this; public speculation and opinion over social media can be exceptionally damaging, especially over very sensitive topics like this, which can be very emotive.

The Nicola Bully case was very different to this one, and just look at the damage public speculation caused there; the authorities had to disclose sensitive information to stop public speculation and prevent harm to the investigation and the immediate family members and friends of Nicola, something which should never have happened if the public hadn't behaved the way they did.

Sometimes it has to happen to protect the review process and to prevent the process from being deviated, and to minimise harm from public speculation, where the public just don't have the facts to make a sound and rational judgment, just (and quite understandably) a very angry emotional one.

This thread is extremely slow going when you consider the subject matter. I can’t believe more people on here aren’t appalled by this either.

In my opinion, different cultures can absolutely mix but as you say, not when fundamental values are so different. Any religion that believes that their doctrine is above the law of the land whilst simultaneously promotes violence and abuse against women has no place here

Yep. That poster read three whole words they didn’t like and decided not to bother. Couldn’t even skip past that part to read some of the victims testimonies.

I posted on the other thread in the feminist board about being outraged that so many people were trying to discredit the report and won’t read it because the foreword is written by someone they don’t politically align with (and nor do I) and I think I said something like ‘grow the fuck up’ not aimed at any one poster in particular.

We all know the reason why. A thread goes up about Reform or the English flag, in fact anything to do with England and it's full within a day. It's where every single predictable stereotype is wheeled out. I made a witness statement concerning an oxford case, to back up reports i had made to social services over the late 1990's. Neither myself nor my stepdaughter felt secure enough to report the police involvement for the court case. Thank you so much for refusing to be silent. Disgusting. There should be no communities where this type of abuse should be allowed to flourish with no apparent consequences, due to fear of being accused of racism. Same with rampant knife crime in our cities. Hopefully the tide is turning on this and appropriate training and support to the authorities and police will be implemented. Huge traversty that this abuse has managed to continue for so long.

Back in the days of dial up internet I remember reading a report about grooming gangs that this bloke had written. In his frustration he put it online because noone believed him/took him seriously. Multiple times he informed police, social services etc and was dismissed. I wish I could remember his name as he has truly been vindicated.

The irony is, that everyone who is falling over themselves not to appear racist don’t seem to understand that the perpetrators in this case were very much racist. They explained to their victims countless times that white women are slags and impure and that raping white women doesn’t count as adultery because they are ‘less than’

Imagine if a white man raped a Pakistani girl simply because she was Pakistani? There would be mass outrage and quite rightly so.

It is sensitive and emotive because it is a matter of great public interest ie there is a strong legal argument that the public need to be made aware. Historically this issue has not had the attention it deserves, allowing the abuse to fester and spread largely unreported. As our national broadcaster, the absolute minimum I would expect of the BBC is to report on the existence of the report and to seek comment from the Government on it.

Absolutely. The report is already out there. Other media outlets are reporting on it. The BBC needs to do this too. Otherwise they’ll be (rightly) scrutinised for staying silent

The BBC are so steeped in controversy that no serious person expects anything of note from them now. I absolutely loathe the rotten Corp. And refuse to give them my money on principle.
