Help me pack ten days in ryan air under Seat

To do a ten day holiday in europe with ryan air under Seat hand luggage only. I think I can do it but I have been met with FURIOUS resistance from people saying it’s impossible. Please tell me your best packing hacks for the smallest hand luggage. I can wash clothes six days in so that feels inmediately like only a six day holiday…. Help!

Use packing cubes, wear your bulkiest items, eg jacket and trainers, onto the plane. Neck cushion filled with underwear as PP suggested is a great idea. Refine toiletries and beauty products to the bare essentials, and decant them into the smallest containers possible.

If you pack 5 though, you'd only need to wash them once mid-holiday. It doesn't take long at all! 10 mins work to save about £60 or whatever it is these days. Worth it for many I'd say. Cheaper even to buy more knickers if necessary at the destination.

Primark do an amazing under seat bag. The wheels even pop on and off so to make it smaller when it needs to go in the size thingy. It was about £20

I do it all the time. It's easy all clothes coordinate, roll them small and tight, take one pair of shoes (wear them to travel )

3 pairs of linen shorts and three T-shirts is 9 outfits - get them in black, white, and grey or burgundy (or any other colour of choice). Monochrome for nights out dressed up with jewelry and mix and match for daytime. Wear your trainers and pack a pair of sandals. 1 bikini, 1 dress, 1 nightie, 5 pairs pants. Wear a pair of trousers, a jumper, and a light jacket. If you need a towel the microfiber ones from Decathlon are great.

Plan to buy as many items as possible at destination - toiletries obviously, swimwear/beach wear perhaps, sandals or flip-flops maybe, etc etc...

It is amazing how effective vacuum bags are even on quite dense items like tee-shirts.

A tube of travel wash is your friend!

im currently carrying a pair of shorts, a pair of jeans, 4 tops, a dress, leggings, a spare bra, 7 pairs pants and a bikini on a trip, washing as and when, I don’t let it build. I’m not traveling by air so not sure if this will fit but you won’t need the thermal underwear i have!

I never take more than that! Get some vacuum bags I’ve got a set on Amazon that come with a little USB powered vacuum absolute game changer

If you don’t go on holiday you save money too funnily enough!

That's all we take each unless we are going diving.

One set on, one set clean. You literally need to think of it as what you need for a day.

Did ten days in Malta with a shade under a kilo including phone 😎

Trainers, trousers, light jumper and jacket for the flight.

Buy tissues, toiletries and suncream when you arrive. I just take a coloured lipsalve and a cover up stick for blemishes on the flight.

Agree with taking a few laundry detergent sheets so you can run a wash, if you have facilities.

I also pack two panty liners per day so knickers can stay fresher.

Sleep naked, or use the T-shirt you
travelled in to sleep. Use hotel towels.

I always take a second pair of shoes - for hot places, I might travel in bulky walking sandals and then take a pair of ballet flats in my bag - knickers can be stuffed inside to save space.

Collapsible reusable water bottle also a must for me.

Take a cloth tote bag for your “daytime bag” - ideally one with a zip.

This is the only option. Buy stuff when you get there even flip flops. You can't afford to take a pair of shoes extra.
Take only 1 cardigan, trousers and wear that. Aim to wash underwear every day so you wear a pair and wash a pair and have 1 spare. That's it. A pair of shorts, togs and then a few lightweight t shirts. Check accommodation where you are staying for things like usb sockets or buy a European charger from amazon as they are smaller. Do not bring any toiletries at all and buy everything locally.

30l hiking backpack & bumbag for phone and passport. Never had a problem with this.
Use compression packing cubes for clothes. Unpopular, but buy cheap underwear and chuck after wearing to make space for a souvenir or two.

I’d just pay for the large cabin bag to take that stress away!

Don't forget your underwear! But if the bag is full that might be about all you can take. You also need phone/charger/money/adapter. Possibly a kindle if you have one. Makeup, toothbrush? You could buy toiletries when there.

My DH does it all of the time. Just packs undies, one pair of trousers and a handful of shirts rolled up and a phone charger. He never takes toiletries, always buys them there.

Ryanair is 40x30x20. Your case must fit the sizer, wheels and all, and you can’t carry an additional bag. I do have a case with detachable wheels but from experience a backpack is better, you can get more in and you’re less likely to be challenged on size. Carry your passport and phone and other essentials in a bumbag or similar. I use a squashy half moon bag from Primark that I can shove in the top of my bag or case if asked to.

Yes. I wouldn’t go on holiday like this. What’s the point?! I love uk breaks too, so would do that instead if I could only afford an under-seat bag.

Get the sucky packing cube things, and buy all toiletries when you get there. Fold up a thin tote bag to use as a day bag, beach bag while you’re there. Micro fibre towel for beach. I did a 4 day trip with one and reckon with washing in the middle I could have done longer! I found it quite tastisfying finding tips and tricks to fit it all in.

We do it all the time as we like to go away a lot but we don’t like to pay for luggage. In hot countries it’s easier but I wear the heavy stuff and tie it round my middle when I arrive. Sometimes I click and collect toiletries at the departure airport but mostly I just decant into small pots. I always take a 100stars light robe as that doubles up as a dressing gown and an evening kimono if it’s a bit chilly. Have a great time
