'Afghan men 'fled UK in lorry after raping girl'

Mobile phone footage recovered from Safi's phone showed the men in the lorry laughing and gesticulating, which Hetherington said suggested they thought they "got away with it".

When they were found by French police in Calais on 3 December, they were returned to the UK.
Hetherington said the trio had no travel documents or identification and had given false names to French authorities.
After their real names were checked on police systems, they were arrested on suspicion of rape.
Sali, of St Werburghs, denies one count of human trafficking and two charges of rape.
Habibkheil, of Lockleaze, denies one count of human trafficking and one charge of rape.
Ahmadzai, of Redcliffe, denies one charge of rape and one charge of assault by penetration.
The 16-year-old also denied one charge of rape.
The trial continues.'

A jury is told three defendants left the country in a "deeply unusual" way after the alleged rape.

Yes you're right OP, but nothing meaningful will be done.
We're too far down the path of bending down to these types of people.

Funnily enough, I've a Turkish colleague - who was saying how fearful she and her husband were walking in Whitechapel in London. She said, she imagined that her town would have been like that if Attaturk never existed.

Yeah I’m sure you do.

Ahh I missed the riots over those traveller rapists being let off with rape.

Seems the riots only happen when crimes are committed by perpetrators that look different to themselves.

If the perpetrators look like themselves they do not riot....kind of as though, they do not care....

You also missed the riots when the party leader, that the rioters overwhelmingly vote for, was charged with raping two children.

Oh, for some reason they didn’t care about that one either.

I don't really know where to begin with that. Respectfully, is English your first language?

Respectfully, stop being racist.

Where were the outraged men after the rape of those little girls by those teenage men? After Sarah Everard? After all the thousands upon thousands of women who are harmed, raped and killed every year?

Where were the baying mobs for all the other individuals who have been killed by police over the years?

It’s almost as if racist thugs wait in the wings to use any excuse to be racist thugs, and are usually very selective about who they riot for.

You really think these thugs care about you? You really think you’d be safer with them? The problem is not ethnicity, it’s men. It has always been men. And you’re letting violent men brainwash you into thinking they’re a better option than other violent men.

A government’s basic duty is to keep people safe.

Creating a system that led to what happened in Belfast isn’t doing that.

Absolutely
It is their duty so ban all visas as we have no idea which ppl coming into the country are safe and unsafe.

And the government have a duty to keep use safe from all those terrorists burning down houses...where was the government keeping those poor families safe?

What created a system of terrorists in that community that allowed them to think it is ok to cause so much harm to others?

Who knew so many terrorists lived in that community?

So what is going to be done about the immigrants and those coming in on visas who are unsafe? How can you tell if someone is unsafe just by checking their passport? What clues are there?

What is being done to keep ppl safe from terrorists on our streets burning houses and hotels? Who is vetting who is living in the communities?

Thank you! Absolutely this....

Never hear a peep from these thugs when it is a white perpetrator. The fact that we see a pattern from these home grown terrorists tells us all we need to know.

These violent men are just that - violent.

After burning down ppl's homes they will go home angry and aggressive and harm their partner or kids in many situations.

We already had a warning that violence is likely to erupt in the coming weeks with the world cup....

It isn't the immigrants getting pissed and going home and smashing the wife's head in is it?

Wonder if there will be riots for the women and children harmed when England get kicked out of the competition? Absolutely not...as there is no outrage when a white man harms others....

It’s because they are usually perpetrators themselves. I just hate how daft some women are to think these men are on their side or care an ounce about their welfare. Show me one ‘leader’ of these baying mobs who doesn’t have a history of domestic abuse or general violence against women and I’ll eat my hat.

And aren’t women statistically overwhelmingly more likely to be harmed by a man they know than a stranger?

Again, and as ever, the problem is men. Always and unequivocally men.

Agree.

A very worrying trend is that the Mumsnet demographic is now normalising the violent reaction to the Belfast beheading.

Reform's/Musks/Restore's rhetoric is being absorbed into the mainstream.. And the government, in an effort to placate the massive support for this uprising of horrific events, is failing to address it with proper long-term policies.

These sentiments are deeply, culturally rooted and it would take a generation of education and social policies to sort them out.

And there's seemingly no way the police can intervene effectively as the numbers just get bigger. It's just pure lawlessness dressed up as justifiable response.

Ban all visas. Brilliant suggestion.
Universities will collapse without Chinese and Indian students paying double local fees.
The already declining economy will collapse without foreign tourists and visitors.
The aging population will have no caregivers and you will have to look after your own mum.

Why can't there be a centrist view rather than hard left or hard right?

We have enough of our own 'home-grown' VAWG perpetrators (not just 'white' btw - racist?), we do not need to accept any more; especially unvetted unknown men from countries where women and girls are by default seen as 2nd class citizens. It is quite simple.

There are many ways to check legal migration, one very good way is something we had to do for dc passport to another country. A police record check.

Anything that reached a certain threshold would be barred.

Its not possible to do that with the asylum system, definitely not for Sudan where the violence seen in Belfast is much more likely and no one is holding records of it.

And yet given that during the world cup we know that women and girls are the most at risk of DV from the men in their lives....

Why? Because they see women and girls as 2nd class citizens.

Absolutely so why not ban men from getting tourist visas...surely we cannot know from looking at their passport how they are going to behave?

What vetting happens at passport control? Are men grilled on if they are an abuser or a rapist? What is this 'vetting' you talk of?

And do we 'know' the tourists we are letting in? Do they have to be known to officials before they get a visa? In what context do they need to be 'known'? How does someone get 'known'?

How is Labour “tone deaf” - they’re doing more than the Conservatives ever did to tackle illegal migration.

Hahahaha….
You must be deluded. If they really wanted to do something they’d ship them straight from the Border Force boat to secure incarceration. Then return to country of birth.
Extreme maybe but how much longer can this situation continue to escalate?

“These sentiments are deeply, culturally rooted and it would take a generation of education and social policies to sort them out.”

Absolutely frightening. What do you want to “sort out” exactly? More indoctrination about white privilege and that we’re all responsible for the past yada yada? And turn a blind eye to any crime by immigrants because anyone could be a criminal.

And “culturally rooted” - now, just what are you going to do about the “culturally rooted” norms of, well, other cultures ? Or are they just inherently better? Do you honestly believe that a fundamental Muslim man would care to be “sorted out” culturally? So why should a British person have to throw their culture in the bin?

A police check doesn't work in most situations as we know most abuse and rape etc doesn't get reported meaning most abusers and rapists do not get convicted...they just carry on...

So if they have never been caught as most have not....that is ok if the police check says they are safe on paper......right?

Checking a passport makes no difference.

Will those terrorists who burned down houses get their passports taken off them now? If not, why not? What checks will get done on them? Will they be allowed to come to England without a passport as is currently the case? Absolutely....as no checks are done when travelling between the two...

So violent men coming from Belfast is fine...

As I say, what checks....

Where is the outrage at what these men have done to ppl's homes in Belfast? no one is protesting about those violent criminals...

I would assume that means they think it is acceptable?

EmeraldShamrock000 · 11/06/2026 09:26

There has a few incidents in Dublin when the person is arrested, the previous charges come out, usually very serious charges. How on earth have they not checked out the background information before another life is lost, before offering accommodations and a payment, taking a fingerprint isn’t enough.

One chap was stabbed to death, he was here 6 months in international protection accommodation, he’d been deported from Italy for rape accusations two years before. How was he let in?
deported from Italy, then arrived to Ireland even a Google search by the authorities.

Quaham Babatunde (34) died after he was stabbed in the chest during a terrifying incident on South Anne Street in the early hours of Saturday morning. It can now be reported that Mr Babatunde was previously in court accused of rape in Italy - where he had been residing in April 2018 before reportedly being subject to deportation back to Nigeria.

It’s much, much better than allowing men from a conflict rife country such as Sudan to enter without any checks.

We can’t see what happened in Belfast on the streets and it’s the basic function of the government to stop it.

So my rapist could get checks and walk into another country 'vetted' and rape...

Because checks do not show he is a rapist...

And he will be doing....

So what protection do checks bring if they do not show who is a rapist or an abuser and they are let into the country?

I absolutely will compare it, because the ideology is no different - it’s the manifestation that changes according to circumstances.

And women are second class citizens right here in the UK. A man is more likely to be jailed for stealing a car than he is for raping a woman. So you can sigh all you want, I refuse to use women’s pain and suffering to justify racism. Men are, and will always be, the problem. Regardless of ethnicity or nationality.
