To use in your Airbnb and on the beach?

Take it.
Other people will be playing their music much louder than yours.

I use a Bluetooth speaker abroad and I use headphones/ ear buds.

No one hears either!

Lavender14 · 07/06/2026 18:35

Apartment/air bnb no problem but sorry op noise carries and I wouldn't want to be listening to your music on the beach either. Why not wear one earbud and leave the other out if you want to be more aware of surroundings. Playing music on the beach is quite entitled. If we all did it can you imagine how awful it would sound?

Gazelda · 07/06/2026 18:36

You’re not listening, are you OP? Ironically.

User7649527 · 07/06/2026 18:36

Music on the beach, no. Please don’t. It’s so antisocial. I don’t want to hear any music at any volume from anyone else on the beach. No.

sanityisamyth · 07/06/2026 18:36

Why do I want to have to listen to your music in public?! Wear headphones.

Tooobvious · 07/06/2026 18:37

itssoeasy · 07/06/2026 18:32

Because I feel like it’s dangerous to always have headphones on, especially when you’re alone on the beach in the evening.

Get some bone conduction headphones, then. Then you can hear everything around you as well as your music, but you’re not being an antisocial yob spoiling everyone else's holiday.

HoldMyWine · 07/06/2026 18:37

Yes in the accommodation bit on the beach is antisocial

EnoughRain · 07/06/2026 18:37

Only if it’s for use inside your accommodation.

There should be a place in hell reserved for selfish people who inflict their music on others.

RumJerrySailorRum · 07/06/2026 18:37

I also read with my ear buds in.

Jesus.

Though, now that you say it, I’d choose Gregorian chant over the other choices.😀

Tbh 20 mins of Gregorian chants as the buzz of the first cocktail hits doesn't sound too bad

I’m putting my side across, I am allowed to do that?

I feel like the beach would be fine? It’s an open area, not like a train…

Your own personal beach? Do what you like!

A public beach? No.

Absolutely not. If I'm trying to read on the beach, why would I want your music on a speaker near me? Why should people with completely different taste in music need to hear your shite?

hattie43 · 07/06/2026 18:38

Headphones here

Summerbay23 · 07/06/2026 18:39

itssoeasy · 07/06/2026 18:32

Because I feel like it’s dangerous to always have headphones on, especially when you’re alone on the beach in the evening.

That’s just an excuse. It’s rude and antisocial and not necessary.

sontamol · 07/06/2026 18:39

Have sex on the beach instead of music. Mightn't be quieter, but those around you will enjoy the view more than listening to your godawful music.

Toddlerteaplease · 07/06/2026 18:41

No, not at all.

Firstly, it’s not shite.

Secondly, it’s really common for my area? You always get groups down at the beach at the weekend listening to music.

I mean I’m not that arsed? If I’m sat on the beach a way away from others and they have music on, it just makes me smile to see people having a good time? I’d not be blaring rap music, just some quiet Olivia dean or something

If your music was quiet through headphones (and they aren’t noise cancelling ones) then you will hear what is going on around you. If however you are one of these people who plays their music loud then it’s also an indication of how loud you will play your speaker. Don’t be that twat. It’s people like you that makes us very selective with where we go

MariaMagdalenaa · 07/06/2026 18:42

Where did these anti social people pop up from. Is it a generational thing. I see them on the train all the time playing their music and watching films. Honestly so weird. Like they were raised by wild
dogs and suddenly joined normal society, but so many of them 😡

itssoeasy · 07/06/2026 18:24

right, now imagine every person on the beach having their own music blaring out.

It would only bother me if I didn’t like the music you were playing and it was blaring. If you’re not sat too close to people and it’s on a reasonable volume you’ll be fine.
