To be totally APPALLED by how Robinson referred to Henry Nowak in his “speech” in Southampton on Tuesday?

Whereismyjoiedevivre · 04/06/2026 09:22

I’ve just seen a clip of this in a Guardian article on the main agitators in Southampton on Tuesday.
TR refers to Henry Nowak in this way: “White privilege?! Does Henry swear word beginning with F Nowak look as if he had white privilege when he was lying on the floor?”
He then smirks as he looks down, clearly proud of himself for delivering such an eloquent speech [sarcasm].
I’m beyond disgusted by how the name of this beautiful young man, who has lost his life in the most brutal way, was used in such a disrespectful way in order to rouse a rabble and boost TR’s ego.
AIBU to say that over the last two days TR, NF and their ilk are really showing us who they are and what motivates them?

Lee Rigby parents' did the same. Have you really thought why? I'm not saying both sets of parents don't think their sons' barbaric murderers should be cited to evidence the country's massive problem/s. However, it makes it easier for Starmer to use it against Farage, who, as an MP, has every right to respond to the societal circumstances. Deflection is done for the greater good.

Are you seriously suggesting that these grieving families have said this purely to make people like Kier Starmer more popular???

Do you seriously think these families have any headspace to care about anything apart from getting through the day without their loved one who was taken from them so young.

I cannot believe you’ve actually implied that.
Have a word with yourself.

They didn't actually do so well. They didn't meet their own expectations. They lost in Gorton and Denton despite fielding a well known candidate. Hence why they've chosen an unknown racist, mysogynistic plumber in Makersfield. No well known candidate wants to take the risk of losing and being embarrassed in the way that Goodwin was.

Edited

Oh yes, the plumber that's now the target of white middle class bubble living lefties. Well nobody saw that one coming.

The only thing that matters in all of this is that Henry Nowak’s grieving family explicitly asked for Tommy Ten Names, Farage and their ilk not to exploit Henry’s death this way, and they have ignored it.

Unfortunately his family have no influence over this as it is a political issue.

Jellox · 04/06/2026 10:42

EstoyRobandoSuCasa · 04/06/2026 10:36

Does anyone truly believe that either Tommy Robinson or Nigel Farage care about Henry Nowak? If they did, they would respect his family's wishes. Instead, they are using his death for political gain and people are falling for it.

Exactly!!

Anyone who supports them does not care about Henry at all.

It’s embarrassing that people are pretending to care about Henry’s death, whilst also going directly against his family’s wishes and what would have been his own wishes too.

Wishing14 · 04/06/2026 10:43

I feel like I have the intelligence to focus on what people say rather than how they say it. And he’s right in many things (not everything).

SwatTheTwit · 04/06/2026 10:43

Unfortunately TR and NF are frothing at their mouths at the opportunity of using this absolute tragedy to score imaginary points and rile people up.

It is because they didn't have headspace I suggest how vulnerable they would be. Your first sentence is too ridiculous to address. Key words, I said, for the greater good. I also don't believe Starmer was PM during the murder of Lee Rigby.

Bunnyofhope · 04/06/2026 10:44

Are you aware that the police ask the family of the bereaved to say that they want no violence in the aftermath of these crimes?
Do you believe the poor family just stood there and said the first thing that came into their head? Or is it more likely it had been pre agreed with police and legal teams?

Imagine your 18 year old child is called Sally Potter.

Imagine she’s brutally murdered and a horrifying clip of her final moments broadcast for everyone to see.

Imagine the country’s most controversial political rabble rouser hijacking her murder for his own reputational gain and making a speech at a protest referring to her as

Sally Fucking Potter”

How would you feel? Is this acceptable?

Totally agree. It’s not the point he’s making that’s offensive- it’s the use of a swear word in the middle of the victim’s name. It doesn’t come across well at all.

AsItRains · 04/06/2026 10:45

To paraphrase Norm Macdonald -
‘They told me the worst part of Henry Nowack murder was the how the right wing politicised it!’

‘And I disagreed... I thought it was that he bleed to death while the police arrested him because the police choose to prioritise bogus charges of racism made by his murderer’

How dare new posters join who think differently to you.

Funny how all the new accounts are spouting the same shit, isn't it?

The astro-turfing, gaslighting, misinformation and straw-manning OTT is something else.

What sort of person gets so much satisfaction from whipping up a murder which actually happened nearly six months ago.

Riots. You fuckers won't be happy until there are riots. You are not new and the Great British Public will see you off again, just like every time.

Dollymylove · 04/06/2026 10:47

@Jellox the only people outraged aoiut Floyd's death were the shrieking lefties, while the rest of us looked on incredulously.
Do you think their would have been riots if it had been a white drug addled criminal who threatened a pregnant woman with a gun, instead of a black one?

Owlsintheforest · 04/06/2026 09:46

You're being unreasonable because your anger is displaced. We should be angry at the way this poor young man was treated, not at the words of someone who is angry about it... Truthfully, I think people like you are part of the problem, you're so upset about the words of the likes of Farage and Robinson that it deflects from the actual issue at hand.

Just to note, I dislike Farage, Robinson, Starmer - the lot of them so I ignore them. My concerns are with the failed system that lead to a young man being brutally killed and disbelieved.

If you are done with politics, how do you expect systems to change, issues to be addressed, via lawlessness?

I agree with this. Plus your focus on swear words is weird. Personally I’m more concerned about the innocent young lad dying while the police gave not a single fuck. (Oh nooo, sweary words again).

George Floyd’s death and Henry Nowak’s death are completely different.

If you are outraged by Henry Nowak’s death then you must also have been outraged (even more so) by George Floyd’s death.

Anyone who attended the protests for Henry Nowak’s death should have also attended the protests for the BLM movement and supported those taking the knee, considering it was about racial injustice amongst the police force - or do you only care if the victim is white?

No one with an ounce of intelligence would condone any violent protests.

But the difference in this situation is that the grieving family have begged people to not disrespect them and Henry by exploiting his death for political gain or to create division.

Anyone who actually cares about the death of Henry Nowak, would not go against his family’s wishes.
Anyone supporting these protests or TR does not care about the death of Henry Nowak.

Absolutely nothing wrong with being a plumber, it's one of the most important jobs in society. We'd all be living in shit, quite literally, without them. However, a plumber from Makersfield is not a high profile candidate in the slightest and the guy is most definitely a wrong un. He's a nobody in comparison to Matt Goodwin who anyone who has been paying attention to politics, especially far right politics, is aware of. My point is they aren't doing as well at they pretend they are. If they were they would have fielded a very high profile candidate to fight Burnham. They haven't as they're still licking their wounds over the fact they lost to a very capable and competent plumber in G&D.

Exactly this. We don’t actually know what the family are thinking or feeling about it all. Public statements are just that and no family is going to say “actually yes we do want violence”. That would be an offence in itself! Not that I’m saying Henry’s family feel that way but the same statement is trotted out time and again after these things and it does sound somewhat rehearsed at this point.

Ultimately we can debate it all we want on MN but the wider general public are angry and they are lapping up all these speeches. Serious questions do need to be answered and addressed. This can’t be swept under the rug.

I don’t agree with or support Robinson, Farage etc and they are absolutely just using this for their own gain. However, they do have a platform that ordinary people don’t and noise does need to be made about Henry’s treatment. I’m not often affected by the news in general but that video of him being arrested absolutely broke my heart.

I was appalled by both deaths. The difference is one is in my country where live and can express my opinions about it in the hope that systems change.

Unfortunately the family have no influence on this s it is a political matter. I disagree with the approach of TR but I support his right to do it s we live in a democracy.

Violence tends to be the result of not being heard and again I don’t agree with far right politics but the views need acknowledging.

You cannot be outraged by one and not the other - that doesn’t make sense.

On average 18 people die in police custody every year in the UK.
Why are people not outraged by that?
Why have there not been protests about that if people truly care about police injustice?

Why have there not been protests over the multiple failings in the case of Beastie house where police and social services failed to act where children were being gang raped, abused, tortured and attempted murder?

Why have there been no protests where the boys convicted of gang raping 2 girls on separate occasions and planning to commit more, were given such a light sentence?

Why when Sarah Everard was TR no where to be seen, he did not incite any protests nor were there violent, drunken protestors scaring people on the street?

It’s almost like people are picking and choosing what they’re outraged by 🤔

50sandFabulous · 04/06/2026 10:58

I was in the Police for a while. The largest training module was "Diversity". In my intake we took in 2 people of ethnic minority who clearly would have failed if they were white. One didn't seem to have a clue about anything! The things he said were insane, he was seriously mentally challenged. And the other was so obese she failed the fitness test - they still "passed" because of box checking.

I grew up in a City with a huge Asian population. Me and my friends all fancied the boys, but we were only good enough for snogging, never taking home, as we were white trash that the families would never accept.

The left are so eager to integrate with our ethnic communities, but what they don't realise, is that if you're white, they don't want you! It's quite ironic really.

Educate yourself - one of the most patronising lines ever used. BLM thrust violence on society during Covid. Wonder how many if you were vocal then in that drumming up of hate and division. Why is it only black people who are allowed to rise up against prejudice?

Firstly, it's not patronising if it's true. Secondly, the majority of BLM protests were peaceful. Some were not, there will ALWAYS be people who take advantage of tragic situations and twist them for their own gains. Like you, Farage and TR. Henry Nowak's father HIMSELF said he did not want his son's death to be used to create hate and division and yet look at how many of you are doing exactly that...He didnt want anyone to 'rise up' as you so aggressively put it. Thirdly, BLM was a movement entirely dedicated to the countless incidents spanning centuries of police brutality against blacks. If you still dont understand, educate yourself.
