To be totally APPALLED by how Robinson referred to Henry Nowak in his “speech” in Southampton on Tuesday?

Whereismyjoiedevivre · 04/06/2026 09:22

I’ve just seen a clip of this in a Guardian article on the main agitators in Southampton on Tuesday.
TR refers to Henry Nowak in this way: “White privilege?! Does Henry swear word beginning with F Nowak look as if he had white privilege when he was lying on the floor?”
He then smirks as he looks down, clearly proud of himself for delivering such an eloquent speech [sarcasm].
I’m beyond disgusted by how the name of this beautiful young man, who has lost his life in the most brutal way, was used in such a disrespectful way in order to rouse a rabble and boost TR’s ego.
AIBU to say that over the last two days TR, NF and their ilk are really showing us who they are and what motivates them?

Hang on. Are you talking about the Syrian refugee who was bullied by Bailey McLaren and Tommy Robinson falsely claimed that the refugee had attacked two schoolgirls? He admitted this was fake news. Are you aware Tommy Robinson was sued for libel and ordered to pay the refugee £100K + £500K legal costs? And that he then went on to produce a film where he repeated these false claims, for which he was found to be in contempt of court?

I’m very familiar with the case as it happened in my town. Could not recognise it from the ‘facts’ you stated and only finally worked it out by putting together ‘Bailey’ + ‘Tommy Robinson’. I cannot believe how you are portraying that incident on this thread.

What is sad is that Harry's parents were disrespected. Harry's death was preventable and a terrible mistake by police.
However what is becoming more ugky is his death being used by TR and NF to manipulate people to do their dirty work.
NF and TR don't care about tbe misguided followers. They only care about power and money.
They woumd send the country back years. They do not support equal lay for women. They want to privatise the NHS, get rid of welfare...just look at the state tbe councils run by Reform are in. It is steaight out of Mosley's guide book. He incited tbe poor mainly agrucultural workers to become black shirts and do his bidding...they gained nothing from it. The wealthy NF and TR would not cross the road for the average person.
I remeber the riots and rise of the National Front in the 70s it was horrific.

Wes Streeting using it to score political points is different I guess. He is so out of touch. Another own goal to Reform.

Wes Streeting made a comment on how Nigel Farage is using this tragic murder to stir up hatred and he has encouraged people to respond with pure, cold rage

this is very much what fascists have done

WS has called NF out on what he is doing it is not the same at all it’s a response to this disgraceful behaviour

BackToLurk · 04/06/2026 18:23

Do you mean his words when he said he predicted this happening? “Pakistani Muslims attacking a white kid and when the police turn up they jump on the white kid” Those words?

I’m not sure what your point is. If he predicted this happening and then it happened is he not allowed to point that out?

I don’t know why you are all so focused on Tommy Robinson. It seems like people on the left/in government are using him as a means to try and silence dissent from many ordinary British people. I don’t think he is particularly influential and the majority of people are marching or protesting because they don’t like what is happening - it’s little to do with him.

I would argue that Streeting is using this awful tragedy as a political tool. He’s no better than any other politician.

This.

People I know are jumping up and down about how ‘woke has gone too far’ blah blah blah….

To me the only issue is that Henry’s parents have asked for their son’s death to not be turned into a vehicle to stir up hatred. Farage et al have done just that.

Just like when Lee Rigby was murdered, they instantly took him for their poster boy.

Don’t all political movements do this though? Sarah Everard, Stephen Lawrence and George Floyd all became symbols for wider political and social causes, just as Lee Rigby did on the right. It’s not something unique to one side of politics.

What politicians are meant to ignore what other politicians are saying when they strongly disagree with their action

right ok that makes sense 🙄

Lovely kind tolerant left, in action. I saw it all over Charlie Kirk's murder. Rabid dogs spring to mind.

Rubbish. Absolute rot.

The prevailing attitude from Charlie's Kirks political opponents was that although his views were heinous, he did not deserve to be murdered.

Ali Yusuf, Head of Reform's Policy, wipes the floor with most political commentators. Are you calling him uneducated?

Does having a degree from LSE count as well educated in your circles?

Yes, disgusting.

Do you live in a cave? How are you not aware of this story about Bailey and his 9 year old sister that the pakinstanis threatened to rape because she is white... The entire family are living in hiding years after this incident, do you think that is ok?

Oh I guess because Robinson is the one to highlight it (with other journalists I need to add) the little 9 year old girl nor her older brother matter do they?

I noticed that at no point have you commented to say that it's awful about the boy and his 9 yr old sister.

You couldn't find the link bless you because it wasnt true. Here you go:

If the guardian offends you as I suspect it will, here's another link. Daily mail - is that more up your street?

I find the whole situation incredibly sad for all involved and I hate that it’s being used to create division and hatred and anger, and constantly score political points

After Wayne Couzens abducted, raped and murdered Sarah Everard Farage said “We must not allow the tragic murder of a young woman to turn into attacks on men and attacks on the police.”

Robinson said nothing.

It doesn’t matter to them that women are killed by men in the UK every week, only if it’s a brown or black man that commits a crime.

Tommy Ten Names 😂

A bit like Zack Polanksi/David Paulden/whatever his name is today.

That’s a really bizarre bit of whataboutism. Are you feeling ok?

Firstly, my point has absolutely nothing to do with Zack Polanski, who hasn’t been trying to use Henry Nowak’s tragic death for publicity against the family’s wishes.

Secondly, I’m sure even you can see that there’s a difference between officially reverting to your family’s original surname, which they’d anglicised in fear of racism, and changing your name to use a pseudonym in order to disguise your criminal convictions……?

Oh I don’t know. Maybe if a a Scottish bloke had attacked someone and the police did nothing, and at a protest about the police’s inaction a speaker said something like “I said we’d have Cornish women doing this while the police did nothing”. Maybe, just maybe you’d think they had an agenda that wasn’t about everyone being treated the same. Or maybe you wouldn’t think.

Oh yes, the plumber that's now the target of white middle class bubble living lefties. Well nobody saw that one coming.

Have you read what the plumber sent to Carol Vorderman? Anybody of any political persuasion would be disgusted by his words. He’s not fit for public office.

Yes because MPs are so squeaky clean aren't they, hello John Profumo? This barrel scraping is ridiculous. You've gone from being offended about a swear word to being offended on behalf of Carol Vorderman. If you're assessing the being fit for office, you had better be applying that assessment consistently.

If it get the point across then yes

Absolutely not, the poor boy was completely innocent, by linking his names with ‘fuckin’ is disrespectful. It makes it sound like he did something wrong, and he didn’t. I’m shocked that some people (who may also be mothers, how would you feel?) think this was ok.
If he had said Kier ‘fuckin’ Starmer, Hampshire ’fuckin’ Police or Nigel ‘fuckin’ Farage that would be understandable, but not Henry’s name 😢
