Men... are u okay? What is the problem?

I think this will be removed / deleted but i am not saying anything untrue. Or factually incorrect. But here goes...

Since having my little girl just over a year ago I have started resenting men. I dont know why as my partner isnt bad. I just see them in a whole new light.

Firstly, years ago women couldn't vote and it was the done thing that they would look after the children and home and men were the providers. But, many women (not all!) Now have careers, go to work, earn their own money. We can now vote. Aswell as have a career, many women still take on majority of the housework and childcare. Not because men always refuse but they just dont, we do things automatically. Men, just dont think.

The other day I was driving to visit family and saw a car with its hazards on in the slip road... they have broken down i thought. Nope. A man was standing behind his car pissing. It got me thinking, ive never seen a woman pissing at the side of the road. We just wouldn't, so how do men find themselves in this situation? My dog can hold its bladder until "walkies" so what's the issue?

I read that men commit like 91% of murders, most rapes are men and men mostly abuse their partners. Men are more likely to commit suicide, men dont open up and speak about their feelings.. some men transition to become "women" and fight to enter women spaces. I know women transition to men but you dont hear about them!

I just dont understand. Men.. what is the actual problem??? Apart from sperm, what is your actual purpose??

The posts on here today.. oh my man was messaging a coworker inappropriately and he cant get her moved as it'll be suspicious... WHAT!! Nah he has played his part, otherwise it would be as simple as, hey HR this person is being inappropriate and its making me uncomfortable, here are the messages 🤣🤣

Or the other one, my man spent lots of money on my credit card and refusing to pay up... WHAT🤣🤣

What the fuck, we all play our part to with enabling such shit behaviour.

I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen a woman pissing in public. I live in the city and see men doing it pretty much every day - daytime or nighttime, drunk or sober - it's actually really gross and totally unnecessary. They just don't care and think they can do what the hell they like. Not all men, obvs, but an unreasonably high percentage of them.

AnnieBond · 20/05/2026 17:39

LavenderSkiesxo · 20/05/2026 17:36

So they are drunk, yeah????

That makes no sense. So if a man is also drunk is he excused?

The man bashing on this site is getting worse. If men did this on petrolheads you’d all be frothing

it's true tho innit?

So not bashing, just describing reality.

The problem is that the rest of the time we all pretend we can't see the truth - to the Orwellian extent that some people genuinely believe all's good between men and women and women aren't shat on at every turn.

Why is it a problem? He probably stood behind his car to make it a bit less obvious to passers by. As others have said, women have been known to do the same - men probably do it more often partly because of socialisation and partly because it's anatomically easier. But as long as people are reasonably discreet, so what?

Men are more likely to commit suicide

And that's an example of men being bad, evil people?

You could easily make an argument that men's overrepresentation in suicide statistics is evidence that the world is harder on men than it is on women. I'm not making that argument, but it would be a valid interpretation - in exactly the same way that we say when teenage girls are more likely than boys to self harm or be anorexic, its evidence of specific burdens carried particularly by girls and not boys.

But regardless, using suicide as an example of a person's moral failing seems a bizarre combination of revolting callousness and sheer irrationality. Do you apply this thinking to individuals as well as groups? So if someone you know committed suicide, would you go to their funeral and spend it spouting off about how their suicide just proves was a horrible person they were?

Apart from sperm, what is your actual purpose??

That's just vile. Doesn't even merit a response.

I bet that's the only time you have seen women pissing in public this century.

You obviously don't frequent busy town or city centres on weekends. Bless you, dear.

No it doesn't but you cant compare

Hey leave men alone yes they piss but so do females who are pissed

Is that a few 🤣🤣🤣

It isn't that 91% of men commit crime. I haven't checked your statistic, but I think you meant to say that 91% of certain crimes are committed by men. That doesn't mean in the group of men that you know, 91% of them are committing crimes, whilst the remaining 9% are at home desperately looking out their "not all men" tees 😉

Seeing as how I'm at work, none. We have men's and women's toilets, though.

Where did you get 91% from?

The stats I've just found say men represent 78% of individuals who face criminal proceedings in the UK. If that's the case, how can it be proved that 91% of all crimes are committed by men?

interesting that you blame the husband here, but say nothing about the other woman who happens to be married to another man. (as seen on many threads, with the usual, shall I tell her husband etc)

You think SHE is reasonable, but He isn't? WHy is that?

WHERE did I say she was reasonable? This is a post about men. Not the other woman. Stupid comment.

EmailsaysOOO · 20/05/2026 18:00

@LavenderSkiesxo yes i think most violent crimes are committed by ( some ) men. And I also think if you're in a burning building or in need of help and protection by soldiers, police, the services etc we're most likely to be helped by ( some) men.

She seems to hate men that much, she'd probably let herself burn to death just to spite them.

Presumably to avoid any risk of getting piss on them?

I still don’t understand why pissy bare feet are preferable to pissy shoes 😂😂😂😂😂🙄

When out walking my dog, sometimes late at night. I have.crossed the road if a man is approaching me. I havent with a woman because I dont see woman out late. I remember being a young teen and an older man came over and told me I was pretty. I was terrified and made up a lie that my dad was meeting me. I have held my keys in my hand before late at night to fight off a man.. not a woman a man!

Therapy can help with phobias like this. Truly sad that you have limited yourself to live in abject fear like this your whole life.

But seeing as that op is married to the man then she should leave him
No one has said the woman did no wrong

Well I had to pull over the other day to let my 22 year old have a wee in a lay by. He has the smallest bladder known to man and had already gone before we got in the car yet there we were just over an hour into the journey. He was as discreet as possible doing it though!
I don’t know. My DH was great. Never made a mess, cooked (and cleaned up after himself) on the weekends and provided for us financially. He always hung up his clothes or put them in the laundry basket and he paid for a cleaner who also ironed. On top of that he was generous and kind.
My son is very helpful- at 22 he visited for two days and cut the lawn, weeded the front, cleaned the windows in and out, and vacuumed the stairs and first floor. His house can go from showroom to pigsty and back again but he doesn’t expect anyone else to clean it for him! But he was happy to help me out. He’s the first one to jump up on the bus to offer his seat or help someone with luggage or pushchair. My father was also a wonderful man. Terrible domestically - he could just about boil an egg. But he was loving, supportive, curious, patient and kind. He had a difficult upbringing but that made him appreciate our family.
Sure there are awful men who do inexcusable things. But the majority are pretty ok. And there are some who are wonderful.

I had a current account before 1975. Maybe I didn't have a legal right to one but I had one.

Other 1975 things maybe worth mentioning, to wake some of us up about progress/ lack of it re stuff in this thread:
plastic cup/ funnel contraptions sold as ‘pee while you are standing up’ aids (in racy magazines for women;
the growth in Radical Separatist Feminism, and socio-politically motivated lesbianism

I think the latter two will experience an overdue resurgence, quite honestly.
Despite all that has changed in fifty years, relations between the sexes are now poisoned with a hell of a lot more than old style bedded-in sexism in our society.

LavenderSkiesxo · 20/05/2026 18:05

Even if i did hate all men you seriously think id refuse treatment or would rather die so a man wouldnt help

Jeez dont be thick

OneFineDay22 · 20/05/2026 18:08

Only 0.00056% of the world’s population get murdered. Some of them will be murdered by the same person. So murderers don’t make up an enormous percentage of the male population AT ALL.

Yes the world has issues. Yes, some of them are more likely to occur in the male population.

Working class men also could not vote until 1918. When they did, it is likely that a lot of them voted in a way that they believed would benefit their wives or daughters. Some of them even discussed who they should vote for with their wives.

How do you imagine this thread is going to change anything for the better?
