Surely he's not pulling this trick again?

Last thread on this was pulled by mumsnet as it breached guidelines. Suspect won’t be long before this is as well. The lack of humanity, empathy and common decency is sad and depressing. On the other thread many posters provided great detail on the many things Trump did which they hated. So what. This does not excuse the behaviour demonstrated on this thread. As I mentioned on the other thread this is whataboutery at its worse. We teach our children at a very young age that no matter what another person does or doesn’t do that is no excuse for their bad behaviour. People need to decide what sort of people they want to be not justify frankly reprehensible behaviour with “well look what he did”.

He celebrated when Mueller died. You cannot ask for decency and empathy to be shown to somebody who has none.

The Democrats destroyed your country with their arrogance. Couldn’t believe that their oh so proper Hilary Clinton and their oh so woke Kamala Harries could possibly be rejected because the left wing is always right. Well your own people told you what they thought of your choices. It’s no good complaining about what you got when you refuse to choose a sensible candidate.

Technically speaking Clinton was not “rejected” as she secured more votes than Trump.

The left are in power? It's the left's fault.

The right are in power? It's the left's fault.

God forbid anyone on the right ever he held accountable.

THIS!!

This sees to be a newish trend but there is a shocking lack of accountability observed among right -leaning / conservative voters. And this trend can also be seen in the UK too.

Don’t let Trump know that - he would have a meltdown such is his obsession with Obama!

🤣🤣🤣

Interesting. I didn't take MN for a load of conspiracy theorists. I totally believe it was real, the lefties hate him so much they have TDS. I think everyone needs to sit back a bit and take a breather.

United we stand, Divided we fall...

I believe it was real and they all were

i still think Trump is vile. I don’t have TDS I have a hatred of abhorrent people

Not again! Funny that this is the first WH Correspondents Dinner he has attended and someone allegedly tries to shoot him again.

War not going so well so he’s trying to curry favour again. It worked during the campaign, I guess.

Although seeing all those delegates at the RNC wearing sanitary towels on their ears was comedy gold,

I thought it was a rather a coincidence that he has 'boycotted' all the previous WH Correspondents' Dinners, then at the first one he does attend, this happens! Especially as he he has a getting a lot of bad press at the moment.

Ok maybe not you but a lot of people just believe anything as long as it's anti-Trump
Ps: I don't like him either except for what he did protecting women's spaces

I think for alot of people they are immediately suspicious of anything to do with trump. And rightly so. NOTHING is ever as it seems.

He is now asking the tax payers to pay for the ballroom when initially the funding was supposed to be from donors .

He was selling trump mobile phones in a gold colour...for 500 dollars, noone has received theirs yet.

He is supposedly 224lbs and 6ft 3in. 🤫

The 'shooter' has been seen on social media wearing an IDF top not something usually linked to left wing ideology.

The suggestion now is that the shooting of the agent was by another agent....and it actually took place a couple of floors above where the dinner was.

The 'security' was anything but robust.

In his first speech afterwards he said it was a valid reason for these events to be held in his ballroom when the building had so very recently been stalled due to a legal block.

To say its all a bit 'timely and opportune' is an understatement.

I don’t think that there is any doubt that the Democrats lost both the elections against Trump, rather than Trump winning. If they want to win next time they have got to come up with a viable leader for the free world.
Just like in this country, the losers have to take some responsibility for losing, while the winners must take responsibility for not making the positive changes they promised

Its god awful to say but

If i were the Democrats, i'd put a young ish man in the presidential race. A big chunk of America isn't ready for a female president, and the Democrats need to win.

Kamala wasn't going to be president sorry 😐

Maybe i'd have a female vp, someone from the South

I saw this a few weeks ago, and it popped up in my feed again.

Is this why the 'shooter' ( that looks like he didnt shoot at all) turned up and brought things to an abrupt end ?!

Basically at the dinner trump would have had to shake hands with the reporters who won an award for posting the infamous epstein birthday card story !! Now that would have been AWKWARD! and trump being a little 'sensitive' about epstein wouldnt have tolerated that.

Nothing would surprise me. 🤔

We are entitled to be picky about who we allow in our country, and not just let anyone who breaks through the border to stay.

Said every single Native American ever.

And when the Reiners were murdered.

And let's not forget how he posted the Obamas' home address on truth social and someone went to their house with weapons and explosives.

Very well said

Yes he had help from some very unsavoury people - name me a high profile politician who doesn't - but with a half decent candidate the Democrats should have wiped the floor with him

Much as I dislike the way he approaches things it's hardly Trump's fault that the opposition left it too late and saddled themselves with a candidate who couldn't even run a proper campaign in 2020, never mind the last one

I voted for the person I believed would improve my country. And that person was Trump. He could be going harder on mass deportations however.

If you were really interested in deportation numbers you'd know that both Obama and Biden surpassed Trump's numbers. They just did it in a way that didn't feed your cruelty fetish.

Said every single Native American ever.

Native Americans did not build the country you call America. They weren’t a unified people, their entire history pretty much consisted of conquering small patches of land and slaughtering the losers, because they didn’t see enemy tribes as fully human, and often allied with European settlers when we arrived to get rid of their rivals.

But yes, if they had done the hard work of establishing a unified territory, maintaining discipline over a wide variety of people and making them subject under one government, they may have had a small chance. But they didn’t.

So no, native Americans didn’t have control over their borders and this is the result of that inability. Kind of a cautionary tale.

Without the land stolen from Native Americans, the country you call America would not exist.

Ahh. So you mean it was a large landmass with lots of small nations, and these small nations had wars between them.

Like Europe, Africa. and pretty much everywhere.

At one point Cahokia may well have been bigger than London was. Just because Native American culture has been denigrated for centuries doesn't mean it didn't exist.

They are not a unified group. Never were. So we didn’t ’steal land’ from ‘them’.

In any case, conquering and taking land was perfectly fine by their standards and we had expected to live with them at first, which became impossible because they thought it was okay to take land and murder you. Because that is what they did to each other

Do you think these two statements are in any way consistent?

They are not a unified group. Never were

(How can you steal land from an invader? Or is there a bit of history I’m missing where Native Americans popped over to Europe to grab the Isle of Wight in a bit of tit-for-tat?).

I really doubt many of the people who came over from Europe were ever expecting to live peacefully alongside the people they encountered when they arrived. Any more than the people who went to Africa expected to live comfortably alongside the indigenous population there.

And I’m not even going there with the history of Afro-Americans….
