No but genuinely, this site is bad for my mental health. I left for a few months and I felt happier and calmer. Started coming back and instantly felt negative and stressed. There's always someone complaining that everything is awful 🥱

I agree. It’s very sad to see how MN has declined from being quite a supportive place with balanced yet empathetic discussion to a board full of vitriol (although I feel this is more of an AIBU thing as the other topics tend to be a lot more mellow), you only have to look at threads from the 00s to see my point.

I've deleted my account a few times because MN was affecting me negatively. But it's so addictive. And the good points definitely outweigh the bad.

I do agree it has changed since the Facebook crossover, and all the ‘man here’ boreathons, cool girls and AI slop aren’t helping.
