There’s so much pressure in modern life to always be doing something exciting. Holidays, days out and the like. It’s exhausting! AIBU to think that lazy days are underrated?

As an older person when I was a child it was not a thing for kids to have clubs every day of the week. I had ballet classes once a week and the rest of the time I read books or played out with some friends who lived close by.
When I had my own kids late in life I was shocked that there was so much structure and clubs and pressure to do something every weekend. I got on that treadmill for a couple of years but the kids got fed up and we didn't enjoy sitting around like a chaffeur taking them places. We pared down and they chose 2 weekly things they enjoyed and we did a day out on weekends every fortnight.

What I think @Alldoomandgloom means by lazy was basically how everyone behaved the majority of the time when I was a child. Days out where a rarity and I did school clubs (because after school care didn’t exist and my parents worked so this meant they could pick me up) and Brownies. No other clubs until I was a teen when I picked up drama and music - which was a cost free morning of playing each Saturday). We spent weekends and holidays (apart from short trips to see family and a 7-10 day U.K. B&B holiday) at home amusing ourselves and doing jobs.

We work too hard to find things for our children to do. They would benefit from lazy days, too, just playing about in the garden or kicking a ball around.
As for adults, it depends what you mean by lazy days. I find they are imposed on me in the winter. Once spring comes my idea of relaxation is in the garden or on the allotment, or simply walking the dog places that were put of bounds in the winter.
