To take up a bigger table than needed in a cafe?

To try to use a bigger table in a cafe?

I know it’s not always possible, such as during busy times, and I would never ‘hog’ a larger table for myself.

But during quiet times… such as right now! I’m in a cafe on my own with 2 dogs and I’ve sat myself at a 4 seater table.

I actually hate 2 seater ones. They are just too small and I get claustrophobic with all the clutter of cutlery, condiments, sides of veg etc.

I like to spread out!

Well that's what a lot of people are complaining about.
And then dog owners say there's loads of dog free cafes we could go to.
There aren't. We don't get a choice.

The roast was Sunday, the lone cafe visit Monday HTH.

Well complaints have worked locally so fingers crossed the tide will turn elsewhere

I work in a charity shop that has always allowed dogs in. They kept a little bag of doggy treats under the counter. Then we got a new manager a couple of years ago. After mopping up two piles of doggie poo in one day she lost it and printed a 'sorry no dogs' notice on the door. A couple of the customers were up in arms, some kept forgetting and bringing them in and had to be ejected. It took about a month for it all to settle down but it's fine now. No dogs past the door.

It's like a bloody kindergarten in here sometimes.

I have a dog, she's lovely. We go on walks and have fun with lots of other responsible owners. She doesn't come to cafes. I've no idea why this means I'm 'not a very nice person'.

Claustrophobic is an irrational fear of confined spaces. You don’t like clutter. Completely different things. YABU.

I haven't 'name called' anyone, I've said dogs should not be in cafes especially massive dobermans and considerate, responsible owners would not do it. This seems to upset I think because you know I'm right.
