Redrosesposies · 20/03/2026 20:10

Spent so many hours of my retirement mindlessly scrolling

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 20/03/2026 20:11

Read a fair few self help and parenting books, which really helped me.

DreamingOfGeneHunt · 20/03/2026 20:12

Licked a Himalayan salt lamp.

mumof5five · 20/03/2026 20:12

Started mounjaro. And I am now 2.5 stones down and so grateful to the lovely people on here who inadvertently encouraged me to start something that has helped me so much

Ineedanewsofa · 20/03/2026 20:13

Understood pensions and got my shit sorted out

AnneLovesGilbert · 20/03/2026 20:14

Kept my sanity through multiple miscarriages.
Stored my laundry in one of the pillow cases.
Known about BorrowBox.
Found my favourite daal recipe.
Been as prepared for breastfeeding.
Found the beyond sleep training Facebook group.

I’d have left my first husband a lot earlier if I’d found MN back then. I might not have married him tbh.

RichPetuniaAgain · 20/03/2026 20:15

Probably the same as upthread. Bought my house and struck out on my own. Now have a tiny income and my own space. And a dog. And learnt to drive.

worldshottestmom · 20/03/2026 20:17

Trudij123 · 20/03/2026 20:17

I’d never have heard about penis cups 😳

Thepeopleversuswork · 20/03/2026 20:17

It would have taken me a lot longer to figure out that my husband was an abusive alcoholic. I probably would have figured this out eventually but Mumsnet shook me out of my denial.

Dexterrr · 20/03/2026 20:17

Found Mounjaro and got my life back

Developed Vinted habit when exploring Style and Beauty

Love MN!

AffableApple · 20/03/2026 20:20

...known that spiders wipe their willies on unsupervised laundry that's being darked on.

...read The Script, and been reassured that it's common, knobberish, normal behaviour.

NFPorterkeeponkeepingonNsoul · 20/03/2026 20:23

Kept my mind occupied when my GAD was at its worst and the 100mph thought patterns etc.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 20/03/2026 20:23

Coped with drinking the nasty stuff before a colonoscopy.

All the tips were really helpful and I'm very grateful otherwise I don't think I would have been able to do it.

DestinedToBeOutlived · 20/03/2026 20:29

Realised my marriage was abusive. Left my husband. Coped with the deaths of my children. Been equipped to self represent in court. Started putting curly wurlys in the freezer. Started using scissors to cut pizza. And lots, lots more.

AnAppleAWeek · 20/03/2026 20:30

Been able to tell 100s of women they are being unreasonable.

DundeeNewcastle · 20/03/2026 20:30

Spent my children's childhood on my phone 🤪

mambojambodothetango · 20/03/2026 20:31

Known about penis beakers

rubyslippers · 20/03/2026 20:32

Breastfed my child until toddlerhood

PennySweeet · 20/03/2026 20:34

Applied for the best job I've ever had.

SardinesOnButteredToast · 20/03/2026 20:34

Gone NC with my mother and brother. I've been through so many years of mental ill health and therapy, and one comment from someone wise on here (not directly to me) gave me the courage to finally do it. I've known true inner peace for the first time in my life and I'm so very grateful.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 20/03/2026 20:34

Learned to stop taking other's negativity so personally, particularly thanks to aibu.
