Got through many a sleepless night with both my 2yr old when she was younger and my now 7month old! Coming here and reading just random threads has got me through the time just flies by!

The conception board probably saved me months of not years of trying to conceive my first. In my ‘initial research’ at the start of my journey I realised I have a short luteal phase. Posters (from older threads) had advice on what I needed to do (skip the GP, go to a private gyno who has a scanner in their office to confirm, get progesterone prescription). Things were sorted within 2 cycles and I had a baby less than a year later.

Waaay more helpful than any doctor or ‘official’ website and I will be forever grateful

Also more helpful for childhood illnesses and women’s health than ‘official’ sources (as long as you can read a bit critically)

Known that to put a king size duvet cover on so that it fits properly, the 'lines' of the duvet have to be horizontal not vertical.
I spent ages wondering why my covers didn't fit. So thank you to that poster. 😁

Bought Wirapa pants, thanks @Cherrysoup !

Learnt about horizontal duvet lines like PP - actually life changing.

Started keeping bedding in the matching pillow case. Ok that didn't last, but still...

Bought a Eufy.

Really love this thread! At times when MN can be rather caustic, it's rather lovely to read a thread seeing how much comfort, support and wisdom fellow Mum'snetters can bring/give to each other.
It was I think, penis-beaker that brought me here originally but I stayed for the general warmth, feeling of community and wide ranging discourse. It's helped me recognise that I can sit with more than 1 feeling: being pro women's rights, why I feel uncomfortable with some of the trans activism, especially at the expense of women's hard fought equality, safe female only spaces etc and why it's ok to question, have concerns and that this doesn't mean that I am a bigot.
It's also had me purchasing things I really shouldn't have bothered!! Clinique Black Honey comes to mind!

The elf on the fucking shelf!

Started using this forum around 2012/13 when my older DC were tiny and it began with the Christmas forum. I read about the EOTS and thought it sounded fun. 13 years on, we still have the fucker. He’s called Norbert and despite eldest being 16, I still have to move it around for younger DC who are 5 and 7. Just trapped in this eternal elf nightmare. Nobody knew what it was when I started it at all and everyone thought I was nuts.

No way! I always thought the lines needed to be vertical, no wonder my quilt doesn’t fit properly! is this the same for double size as well?
