The one where the men get their jollies showing their cock and balls. There is a petition which is not getting much traction. You may want to sign if you don't want to encourage this.

Oh ignore the cool girls. 🙄

It’s the perverts’ dream to have public naked events like this. It is not wholesome or civilised. I’ve signed.

This. It's actually a friend of mine who organised the petition, she campaigns against child sexual abuse and is a former victim herself. I think this event is disgusting and unnecessary.

Do you think it's healthy to normalise children seeing men with erections in public? I think this is a major safeguarding risk.

It's telling children not to be afraid of them.

Oh gosh, thanks for bringing this to my attention OP, I had no idea. Men are sustaining an erection for an entire cycling course? How uncomfortable for them!

FlyingApple · 26/01/2026 14:58

People on this site often support the most degenerate of behaviours. There's so much passivity to perverts that I feel contempt for many users.

On what?

On anything of your choice. Presumably, not on a Naked Rider, although if that's what floats your boat, then who am I to judge?

Agree.

I’ll believe it’s an innocent, fun, lighthearted event when it isn’t 90% grown men.

If your DH does this, he’s probably a pervert.

What happens to children when they see a naked person, do their heads explode or something?

They get to tick off something on the list of "Thirty steps of growing up". (There's a cartoon by Matt Groening of things like this, with things like "first diaper pin jab", "first time crossing the street without holding mom's hand", "learning Santa isn't real", "first realization that death is inevitable", etc.)

have you seen bike riders with erections? I live in a place that has a lot of naked events including bike rides and have never noticed an erection.

the wind chill factor is going to make it more likely that everything shrivels up

saraclara · 26/01/2026 14:59

I was in London once when the naked cycle ride passed by. I didn't see any cocks and balls. Just some bums and boobs. Had my little granddaughters been with me, we'd all just have laughed, because there was nothing disturbing or sexual about it at all.

Swimmingteacher21 · 26/01/2026 14:59

LadyTangerine · 26/01/2026 14:55

Men getting their cocks out in the guise of a 'cause' is always something to be bothered about.

And the women who are all getting naked with them? Are you worried about that too? Women get naked for protests all the time. Recent ones include protests about sexual violence, gender discrimination, climate change etc. This is not a bunch of men waving their penises at unsuspecting bystanders. It's men and women, riding their bikes, and making a point about challenging the status quo, by actually challenging the status quo. It's a really effective protest, and this thread just proves it.

Its not easy to avoid if it goes right passed your house. I'd just left my front door with toddler and baby in a buggy when 30 or 40 of these goons flew passed meters away from us and yes it was very clear to see that some were erect. No warning from council, but apparantly they'd attached something to a lamppost further up the street. So I shouldve known. Oh but it's just a bit of fun right? No it's not ok. Signed, and thanks for sharing.

Warning from the council 🤣

WARNING - 30-40 erections will be flying past your house at approximately 10am on Sunday. Please do not let your children outside during this time as they will be at risk!

Not quite sure what the risk is though 🤔

RedStars · 26/01/2026 14:57

My sister said there were as many no-nonsense middle-aged and older women at hers as men.

Bet the naked men with their cocks out love that!

Naturism is great, with other naturists. The public shouldn't have it forced on them and unless it's being done on a private circuit on private land then the it is being forced on people

Yeah this is basically drag queen story time all over again. ‘Light hearted fun’ designed to blur the lines of decency.

If I suggested to any normal man that he strip naked and walk down the road, no agenda attached, he would be horrified. The thought of children seeing him naked would not be something he would be interested in at all. How is this different?

You can protest withoit getting your tits out. Disappointing that some women think it's all they have to offer really.

Letmeloveyou · 26/01/2026 15:04

Anyone who wants to do it is just weird! It can’t be comfortable and who wants to see lolloping cock and balls?!

Hollietree · 26/01/2026 15:04

My kids think it’s hilarious - we go every year to watch them cycle through our town! Nothing inappropriate happens (no erections!) and I think it normalises naked humans of all shapes and sizes.

NotYoCheese · 26/01/2026 15:05

Damnloginpopup · 26/01/2026 13:50

The cobbles. As in:

"I've never come this way before."
"Yeah. That'll be the cobbles."

Filthy perverts 🤣

Today's "Bring Back the Laugh Emoji" (Just snorted tea on my keyboard)

Yes let’s normalise adults stripping in front of children

This is total fabrication. I was stood on the pavement while hundreds passed by when I came across them. I didn't see a single penis, erect or otherwise. Just quite a few flabby bums.
And I reckon about 30% of the participants were women.

Do men have erections when riding a bike?

It would probably be very handy, it would keep it out of the way. Might be hard to sustain, though.

MrsMoastyToasty · 26/01/2026 15:08

I've seen one of these events befin Bristol. If you're in the areain about 5 minutes they're out of sight around the next corner.
Ironically it starts atThe Full Moon pub....

SantiagoShaming · 26/01/2026 15:08

I know several people who have been doing this since 2012. Many actually use it as a platform to talk about the vulnerability of cyclists on the road as well as a community building thing. I know as many women as men that participate and never got that kind of vibe from the event at all!

Melonmango70 · 26/01/2026 15:08

Plenty of women do this ride too.

Schrödinger's Penis; during the bike ride the penises are both lolloping and erect until witnessed by a Mumsnetter.

But if your method of protest distracts from the cause you are protesting about, what is the point of it?

Five pages in and I'm aware that it's a naked bike ride, but I've no idea what it's in aid of.

The World Naked Bike Ride is a global protest movement with rides in cities around the world, raising awareness of issues such as the vulnerability of cyclists on the road, reducing oil dependence and saving the planet.
