Sorry OP, they only ride along one route in one place. Its men and women and everyone knows what is under clothes.
It gets taught in school what anatomy people have.
If people want to ride a bike naked then let them, who cares, don't look if you don't like it
I don't want to see naked people riding a bike so I won't watch it.
Also, men get erections. That is the same for all animals with penises.

It would be a bit odd for an environmental campaign to use resources for dinosaur costumes...

The petition 'isn't getting much traction' because the Naked Bike Ride is (1) a well-publicised,harmless annual bike parade from which it is perfectly possible to protect your children, and (2) because the petition is comically badly written.

My sister did it in our home city, years ago, when she was in her late 20s or early 30s, wearing body paint and a gstring. She said it was endearingly goofy and fun.

I was in London with my young daughters and the naked bike ride went by as we waited at a crossing (never heard of it til then).

My daughters (11-13 yo) thought it hilarious and scrambled for their phones to take pictures to send to their friends. ... Meanwhile adults on MN getting their knickers in a twist.

A couple of people have equated witnessing the naked bike ride with having a member of the opposite sex in a changing room. Can you not see why people might think there is a difference in people cycling past at speed (ok, faster than walking pace) and being in an enclosed space for a prolonged period of time?

My friend who lives abroad goes to family nudist beaches. It isn't my cup of tea, but there isn't considered anything vaguely sexual about it over there.

Think this is great! What a fun way to highlight to children about road safety but also get adults talking.

It would never get as much attention as a simple bit of nudity does. Look at how upset you are about it. Maybe the point is to show people that they should actually be upset about car dependence, a lack of safe active travel infrastructure and decent public transport options and the resulting overreliance on fossil fuels. Why not try getting upset about something that matters, instead of a few naked people riding their bikes?

My mum (93) and her friends used to look forward to watching this. Of all the things to be bothered about this isn’t one of them, it’s a date planned ahead of time so if you are that Victorian over it avoid the area at said time.

I don't think a load of naked folk bimbling past on bikes, in the middle of a busy city, in broad daylight, while DC is out and about with us is any danger to our child at all.
