The one where the men get their jollies showing their cock and balls. There is a petition which is not getting much traction. You may want to sign if you don't want to encourage this.

It's once a year one a pre determined route.

There are lots of things for parents to be concerned about. This is not one of them.

Beakthrough · 26/01/2026 13:30

In what way does this protect children? Has a child ever been harmed by the ride?

Ablondiebutagoody · 26/01/2026 13:30

I don't mind it

cinquanta · 26/01/2026 13:31

I have never seen it. Mind you, I haven’t been looking.

I'm also trying to figure out what the risk is to children.

pinkyredrose · 26/01/2026 13:33

The naked body is natural, you shouldn't be afraid of it.

Erin1975 · 26/01/2026 13:34

The one where the men get their jollies showing their cock and balls.

From the photos I have seen it's not just men who take part. There seem to be quite a lot of women as well.

Snoken · 26/01/2026 13:35

Should children not know that men's and women's bodies come in all sizes, shapes and colours? I don's see what the issue is, this is not a sexual context at all.

steff13 · 26/01/2026 13:35

I've never seen it, but the photos online show that plenty of women participate. Presumably they publish the route prior to the ride, so it seems easy enough to avoid.

Idontspeakgermansorry · 26/01/2026 13:36

I love the naked bike ride. I saw it as a kid in Manchester. We thought it was hilarious.

It was definitely not just men either. And the men were probably more 'modest' than the women! A lot of them wore those mankinis. I imagine riding a bike naked as a man is less comfortable, than as a woman lol.

organisedadmin · 26/01/2026 13:38

I’ve seen it and it’s quite refreshing to see very normal bodies naked.

Do you think it's healthy to normalise children seeing men with erections in public? I think this is a major safeguarding risk.

It's telling children not to be afraid of them.

I saw a load of blokes run into the sea naked once when i was about 12. I just found it very funny!

Pollyanna91 · 26/01/2026 13:39

Who cares. All the things going on in the world, and that's what you worry about?

YesSirICanNameChange · 26/01/2026 13:39

They're very open about the route etc. Just don't take your kids if you don't want them to see it?

Whyhaveibeencutoutofmamsnot · 26/01/2026 13:40

If you don't like it stay indoors and keep your children home (they can play on their phones where they can see stuff which is a lot worse I believe).

I don't know why they want to cycle naked it must be quite uncomfortable on the nether regions and even worse if they fall off.

peacefulpeach · 26/01/2026 13:40

It’s pretty grim for sure. Like the LUL not wearing trousers day or whatever it’s called. Both events are full mainly of men. More often than not of middle aged men with big grins. Gross. 🤮

I had to read this twice, I was thinking "yes it must be uncomfortable but surely no-one's nether regions are going to fall off?!" 😂

GasPanic · 26/01/2026 13:40

It's probably not getting much traction because a) most people don't care, and b) the ones that do probably will find out where and when it is and avoid that area for 1 day per year.

Do men have erections when riding a bike?

What erections? Just because men are naked, it doesn't mean they're aroused.

Fimofriend · 26/01/2026 13:42

I have only seen it once. We were eating in a pub and suddenly they were all gathered a couple of yards from the windows. It would have been nice to have been warned. It was not a pretty sight.

Key question here 🤔

Yes. I guess it must be quite easy to avoid. Particularly if you have children.

What? Why would they have erections?
