I saw one when on holiday in Canada years ago, both male and female participants. They were cycling at a reasonable speed so penises would not have been easily visible - I certainly didn't see any. The small children in the family close to us thought it was hilarious, as did the parents. No erections in sight...

OP, I suggest you and whoever else started this petition remain at home. Seems safer for everybody that way.

I mean, its probably not getting much traction because its a really long waffly petition full of 'make of that what you will' and 'no-one seems to know!'and 'call me a Karen if you want' phrases. And a meandering in the middle about the law around indecent exposure and how that's wrong as well. (The tiniest bit of research would also have helped with some of that 'who even knows?!' stuff).

It’s a bike ride raising awareness of vulnerability of cyclists sharing our roads, the impact of oil/petrol on the planet and specifically prohibits any sexual or lewd behaviour. I have participated in protest bike rides, I wouldn’t do this one as have no desire to cycle naked but I think it gets a lot of attention and that’s a good thing.

If you want to be outraged about protecting children then perhaps look at doing something about the thousands of children killed or injured on our roads every year. Or having their lives shortened by breathing polluted air.

I can't get worked up about this at all. Not sure many men will hold an erection while riding a bike? Fair play to them if they can. Will some pervs join it? Probably. But it's got a route, just avoid it.

Just had a wander through some archive pics. A worrying number of participants ( or should they be partici-nopants) seemed to be using lime bikes ( other hire companies available). I do hope they carried wet wipes, and used them before docking.

It seems unlikely.

There's nothing remotely sexual in this kind of event.
And not men are not riding with a massive knob on display, they're on a bike FFS
