I think he has finally lost any marbles he had in his tiny little brain!

I think they’re both on the Epstein files—Trump and Clinton. What size don’t get, however, is why “nobody is above the law” doesn’t apply to both men on the matter. 🧐

Do you think it's a distraction tactic?

He makes the likes of Mark Carney and the European leaders appear as the height of reason and statesman-like integrity by comparison. No mean feat.

What's wrong with Mark Carney?

Who on earth are the 10% who think your post is unreasonable 😳

As long as we don't have to kiss HIS ring, I'm good.

if those files are ever released kissing his ring might be the least of it.

Laughing emoji needed. 😅

menopausalfart · 22/01/2026 13:59

Will the Epstein files be enough to turn the tide with his supporters?

Will the Epstein files be enough to turn the tide with his supporters?

Given what I've just experienced with my friend in America - no.

PhuckTrump · 22/01/2026 14:02

Nope. He can shoot someone of 5th Avenue, remember?

menopausalfart · 22/01/2026 14:03

@YourBrickTiger if he proclaimed himself the son of Satan, they'd still follow.

Some of them yes - but then the whole stuff with ICE agents is having some bleed though - others it's part of a cult and eveything else is dismissed.

He's not got high approval ratings and he's clearly worried about midterm elections.

Epstein is wider than Trump - so there more than just him wanting distractions from it all.

And find a Biblical reason for doing so. Like Lucifer did get kicked out of Heaven, but he was an angel first.

Shmoigel · 21/01/2026 14:14

He is building a golden dome!

Gold. Not iron, steel, titanium or anything actually of any use. Nope, a malleable material that he likes because it's shiny. Just about sums it up.

StandFirm · 22/01/2026 14:14

Oh yes, they would still use the line 'God uses imperfect vessels'.

Shiny pronounced the Trump way

Given what the courts have already found in the Stormy Daniels and E Jean Carroll cases, the Epstein files would have to show something much worse to personally harm Trump.

Embarrassing him or demonstrating an absence of moral or even legal behaviour isn't enough.

I don't think it will have any further effect but some prominent MAGA/QAnon expressed disappointment while ago at his behavior around disclosures- but I think for Trump it will have little impact as there was enough swirling round before he was elected.

Others like Clinton may hurt.

For a few the continuing swirl of sleaze and law breaking plus ICE plus other shit going on may all come together and get them think WTF - usually when his polices start to affect their pocket books though.

The golden dome with regards Canada is interesting - here a thing you haven't asked for may not want but be greatful - and oh it may mean in future we need control of your conutry as it has strategic importance.

US has tried before Trump to buy Greenland and to invade or join with Canada - and answered been no - though even the ball room idea predates Trump.

menopausalfart · 22/01/2026 14:44

@StandFirm Without empathy, personal impact becomes the only catalyst for change.

Groceries are higher and health insurance premiums have skyrocketed. The narrative is that this is Biden’s fault and this is his lingering economic turmoil. It will only be Biden’s fault, no matter how many dings to the pocketbooks over the next three years.

Not everyone is buying that narrative - otherwise his approval ratings wouldn't be so low.

He's not popular but he is in power.

I do think US population including politicians seems more forgiving slower to act than other countries here our polticans with our system and polls would have been done with Trump or Biden years before they got to the stages they did.

There is rampant speculation that ICE in Minnesota is a desperate attempt to stop midterms because the polls look so dire.

I kept seeing last night clip of Minnesota man never protestes in his life - clear about having to get up to work next morning - regular Joe caught by reporter just being done with it all. Farmers who can't sell their Soya to China any more - and who work force aren't turning up - slowly thinking Trump who they voted for may be wrong. News reports that fianlly admit the lack of tourists isn't a blip, can't be explained on exchange rates and looks set to continue while rest of world's toruism rates have increased.

I do think it odd how many still seem to think after Trump it will all go back to normal - I don't think they grasp the longer term effects internationally.

In recent episodes of South Park Satan was pregnant with Trump's baby! I only saw bits on Instagram and it was hilarious and totally stomach churning and I do not know what the eventual outcome was; Off to goggle it now and make myself feel ill

CanadianJohn2 · 22/01/2026 16:59

@MeTooOverHere I was giving examples of US-ans' lack of geographical knowledge: I met a man who thought Canada was EAST of the USA.

Trump is Putin's lapdog. Farage is Trump's lapdog.

I wonder whether those who listened to Farage and voted for Brexit now regret this?

That's an interesting one. I was probably a natural Brexiter. I voted Remain because Farage told me not to. I doubt I am unique in that!
