Yes, we don’t know the full story, but so many things being said about the dance story being untrue-they had already had their dance, she’d also danced with her father, Vb was reportedly called onto the stage by her friend, Marc A and was shy to do so. She comes across as a very awkward, sad person, David seems to dislike her and speak down to her. I can imagine she must be devastated and so humiliated by this. No matter the issues, Brooklyn shouldn’t have issued the problems publicly.
I know a lot about issues with Mil’s but my instinct tells me that this could be her and perhaps she has been difficult from the start. She doesn’t have a reputation for being a nice person at all, even before all this and it’s been said there may have been similar situations in the past with an ex of hers.
In comparison, I’ve never seen anyone say a bad word about Vb, the opposite in fact, she seems to have a great relationship with all her other children and the partners, plus a good relationship with Db’s family
She just must feel so devastated and humiliated, your first born that you held in your arms as a baby.

All so sad

chucking your child into the public spotlight all their life is more vile. She's reaped what she's sown. Actions have consequences. She's not immune because she's a mum and neither her or David are immune because the kids had privileged lives. Or do you think emotional abuse and neglect are ok if the child's groomed with lots of big expensive presents along the way?

But you have no idea it’s been anything like this?! How do we know their private lives? The kids all have beautiful manners, seem kind, down to earth and likeable. They have clearly done a good job raising them

I've never really followed the family. If i recall correctly, it was widely reported that DB was a cheater before they married and had kids. VB presumably made decent money from the Spice Girls back in the day, so she could have comfortably set herself up with a decent, less drama filled life if she'd wanted to. For that reason, I struggle to have much sympathy for her.

I feel sorry for all of them equally. There are no winners here.

I don’t give a shit about any of them to be honest!

I take it nobody has bothered reading today's counter story. He is where he is because he was born into the brand. To publicly make his detailed statement is unforgiveable, no matter what's gone on.

💯

If Marc Anthony called her onto the stage against her wishes, she could have said “Oh no, the first dance should be between the newlyweds” rather than humping her son in front of hundreds of people.

They had already done their first dance plus others-this wasn’t till 11.30pm! No idea what dancing on him is either 😂

I take it you feel the same about Colleen Rooney and every other woman who has overlooked their partners' indiscretions.

TinyCottageGirl · 20/01/2026 12:14

I read they had already ha dtheir first dance, Nicola had danced with her father and then later on Marc A called Victoria up...? But who actually knows!

TorroFerney · 20/01/2026 12:14

Stayinitstoocold · 20/01/2026 11:48

I wouldn’t say they did much of that at all though, compared to many other celeb families? Back in the day it was normal to do photoshoots etc and even then I don’t remember knowing everything about their kids

Id say knowing that his name represents where they had sex is knowing far too much.

AllIdoistidyup · 20/01/2026 12:08

People who were there said that's how VB was introduced onto the dance floor by Marc Anthony - he made a massive gaffe there.

So that’s hardly VB’s fault though?!

And what about trying to make him sign over the rights to the Beckham surname? It's his own name!

I’ve not been reading about any of this, so can you say anything more about this please? The parents wanted him to change his name or something?

Chenecinquantecinq · 20/01/2026 12:15

The dress she wore to the wedding wasn't really suitable for mother of the bride would not surprise me if she hogged the limelight as that dress was rather attention seeking!

Thank you - exactly. When Cheryl Cole (at the time) found out Ashley Cole was cheating she divorced his arse and went on to make a LOT of money from X Factor and a solo career without being especially talented.

1457bloom · 20/01/2026 12:15

Good on Brooklyn, it was very brave of him to call her out, she is a total cow.

Lottapianos · 20/01/2026 12:16

'He is where he is because he was born into the brand. To publicly make his detailed statement is unforgiveable, no matter what's gone on.'

He says they have been briefing the media against him and Nicola. He says he's been bullied and controlled by his parents his whole life. Was he supposed to just take the high road forever? He kept his mouth shut for a long time and everyone has their limits. I can understand how a person who has had those experiences could crack and decide that they just can't stay silent any longer

Kingscallops · 20/01/2026 12:18

Lol fair enough! 😆 🤣

LochSunart · 20/01/2026 12:18

@JontyGentooey "Brooklyn has had a shit deal, he can't try and do anything with his life without people calling him a nepo baby."

He could be

  • a bus driver
  • a teacher
  • a nurse
  • a lorry driver
  • a police officer
  • a bricklayer

etc. And, then, no-one would call him a 'nepo baby'.

ReturnOfTheToad · 20/01/2026 12:18

I feel sorry for her too and I had a horribly emotionally abusive mother. I would never call out my mother to millions of people. Life is long and messy, people rarely do the things that they do that hurt you because they are awful people. It's far more complicated than that. I don't really believe in villains and heroes.

Okthenguys · 20/01/2026 12:19

I suspect the truth is probably somewhere between what he said and what she will say. Either way if even half is true she sounds like the kind of MIL MN often warn posters to go no contact with and berate DH for not standing up to. I don’t feel sorry for her.

Dollymylove · 20/01/2026 12:19

Brooklyn is 26 now so hes had years to make his own life, rather than cooking chickens on Instagram. I wonder why he didnt......oh wait 🤣

PinkPanther57 · 20/01/2026 12:19

Coffeeishot · 20/01/2026 11:49

It is maybe true though he maybe thought she was being over the top and embarassed him,

If that’s really the worst & most shaming thing he’s ever endured, as he says, lucky & self absorbed Brooklyn.

Exactly! But the mum isn’t allowed a dance, when she could have been called onto the stage, may have felt embarrassed, but couldn’t say no in front of everyone etc…we just don’t know
My instinct says this was a Nicola problem

He mentions this in his statement - that they tried to bribe him into signing away the rights to his name. I can only assume this means his surname, so they don't want for example him and Nicola to start a chain of restaurants called "Beckham's".
