Yes, we don’t know the full story, but so many things being said about the dance story being untrue-they had already had their dance, she’d also danced with her father, Vb was reportedly called onto the stage by her friend, Marc A and was shy to do so. She comes across as a very awkward, sad person, David seems to dislike her and speak down to her. I can imagine she must be devastated and so humiliated by this. No matter the issues, Brooklyn shouldn’t have issued the problems publicly.
I know a lot about issues with Mil’s but my instinct tells me that this could be her and perhaps she has been difficult from the start. She doesn’t have a reputation for being a nice person at all, even before all this and it’s been said there may have been similar situations in the past with an ex of hers.
In comparison, I’ve never seen anyone say a bad word about Vb, the opposite in fact, she seems to have a great relationship with all her other children and the partners, plus a good relationship with Db’s family
She just must feel so devastated and humiliated, your first born that you held in your arms as a baby.

All so sad

Absolutely nobody forced the Beckhams to parade their children in front of the press from the moment they were born, selling pictures of them to OK magazine and talking in great personal detail about them during all those media interviews. Nobody asked those kids if that was ok.

Brooklyn has had a shit deal, he can't try and do anything with his life without people calling him a nepo baby or laughing at how rubbish he is, like with his photography or cooking and all the rest of it.

Sounds like he finally told V&D he didn't want to be part of Brand Beckham anymore, they were furious and he finally decided to kick back. All a bit sad really but the only bit we know for sure is 100% true is that they should have given him a basic level of privacy in his childhood. They didn't.

YABU.

Simon Fuller made brand Beckham, just as he had done with the Spice Girls and the girl power gimmick. He was a marketing genius who knew how to sell a product and taught them well (too well) in this regard.

During Beckham's playing days he was apparently told to run straight to whoever scored a goal as the image of celebration would make the back pages. Remember first hearing this and recollecting, "my god, he (Beckham) is always in the arms of the fella who scored". He knew how to garner the maximum attention as he was taught by the best.

thatsthatsaidthemayor · 21/01/2026 02:26

Comparing social media today to when the Beckhams started their ‘brand’ is nonsensical bullshit. They strike me as nice enough people if not the brightest. Brooklyn grew up on it and has and is milking the cow.

I have to agree. I remember when he was a baby and the endless photo opportunities, he was basically the first celebrity baby and they massively capitalised on that and their subsequent children. I remember even then before the days of internet/SM thinking “this is so unfair on the children”.

This is the fallout. We’ll be seeing a lot more of these types of stories over time, not just from the Beckham kids.

Edited

Agree strongly with these.

I've read the Instamum threads & suspect several of their kids will sue one day. The Internet has been a wild West for too many children marketed by their parents.

I think we'll probably look back at this time like we look at the age of child stars of the 70s and 80s who were exploited by Hollywood.

This will break victoria when she has tried so hard to maintain an unhealthy perfect family image.
Despite her wealth, shes deeply insecure and its so obvious that her unrealistic expectations of perfection has left her with a damaged mind.
This cant have been easy for any of her children!
When her husbands affair with rebecca loos hit the headlines, a normal reaction for any wife would be to give yourself space away from your cheating husband to process your thoughts and how you will move forward. Not victoria, a day or two after the scandal broke, there she was hanging off her husband like a limpet , preening and pouting for the cameras. Not normal but proof that she will do anything to portray a perfect life with no flaws!

God yes, I can still see her rictus grin. That was when he realised he could do exactly what he wanted.

Sad all round, and a bad relationship model for the children.

I wonder how she is tonight

Parents up and down the land have and are coping for with far, far worse with their children on next to no resources or support. This is a criticism of parenting and a falling out, let’s get some perspective. It’s wildly publicised because they as parents chose to parent in the public eye. If you live by the sword you die by the sword, however the saying goes. They have the money to have accessed therapy, family therapy and mediation if they had wanted to. Other families don’t have such luxury. If they want to move forward and try to save their relationship with their son they will need to listen, own mistakes ( because every parent makes mistakes) and validate his feelings the same as any parent. However I suspect saving the brand may well be a bigger priority.

DB has at least one kid if not two outside of his marriage from what i've read.

I really, really struggle to believe that wouldn't have leaked with tremendous fanfare.

I mean look how much excitement a cross family wedding saga has generated.

There are things the press aren’t allowed to print in the uk. Think the royals ans creeps like david walliams.

Newsenmum · 21/01/2026 07:41

XelaM · 21/01/2026 00:44

Surely that's the whole point - Brooklyn tried to set the record straight because the Beckhams kept leaking negative stories about his wife to the press.

They control everything. He’s sick of it.

Mirrorx · 21/01/2026 07:52

It's interesting but my DC are roughly the same age, so I was just starting to use FB as they started school.

Obviously we have very different SM profiles, but I never put a single picture of my DC on SM until they were adults. I don't think it was even a conscious decision it just didnt feel like right the thing to do. It would have felt odd to put them up, not unusual to refrain.

So because he has money and privilege, he's not allowed to have feelings?

Surely we're past that point of judgement. Anyone can be abused.

Everybody's allowed to have feelings.

I just think his are out of whack. Disproportionate, misattributed and somewhat histrionic. Rather teenager-ish for a 26 year old. I agree with those who think this might have something to do with an extreme sense of entitlement, along with the absence of self-reliance that often afflicts the gilded children of wealth.

Opinions vary, of course.

simpsonthecat · 21/01/2026 09:11

Nobody is going to feel sympathy for him, he’s an immensely privileged young man and has created a circus of gossip and ridicule centred on his own family.

Have you read the thread? Why are you saying nobody is going to feel sympathy for him? Quite the opposite

AintNoKristine · 21/01/2026 09:23

No one argues that he didn't grow up with material privileges. That doesn't automatically translate to growing up in a stable family where your emotional needs are met and it sounds like BB's emotional needs weren't met.

David's alleged affairs and the children being forced to turn a blind eye and portray an image of a close and happy family unit would have been a very difficult situation for the dc. It sounds like it was all fake and behind the scenes the Beckham children are being exploited to protect Brand Beckham. Sad.

And any idiot who complains about where they're seated at a wedding is way out of line.

It's obvious that Victoria is possessive of BB and wants to continue pulling the strings. The idea that a mother would trademark her son’s name and then demand a percentage of his future earnings is beyond ridiculous. It’s obsessive, grabby and objectifies her own child as a source of income.

I think he has realised that he has been used by mummy Beckham.

pouletvous · 21/01/2026 09:30

Im struggling to believe that VB would have done an embarrassing dance: she never loses control. She doesn’t even smile in public let alone grind or tweek

maybe she did her famous spice girl move: bending one knee whilst pointing and pouting?

thats about all she can manage in those heels and silky nighty anyhow

TightlyLacedCorset · 21/01/2026 09:31

GarlicSound · 21/01/2026 04:31

Such a pity

You're thinking these photos are some sort of exposure of BB being hypocritical.

Firstly it doesn't illustrate that. I might do the same activities with my spouse and be perfectly relaxed in the proximity of someone I trust and love, whom I am choosing to be in front of the cameras with

And I might be tense, anxious and upset doing the same activities with toxic family members who have controlled me and for whom my actions aren't voluntary.

Secondly if anything it illustrates the point he is making. BB is saying everything has been to maintain an image of fake perfection for the cameras. In the first photo, his mum is doing her usual close mouthed 'vogue hauteur' unnatural pose with her hand draped across her son's shoulder. She can't just let him be. And she can't just adopt a natural mom and son pose like you see other celebrities take when with their kids. It's got to be in her key signature perfect way. It's about her.

I remember the press going around the back of the ski chalet & seeing her giving David the biggest slap in private.

Plumnora · 21/01/2026 09:48

I mean, ultimately of course there's probably way more to it and I feel sorry for them, as a family, to have all their dirty washing aired on public when it's nobody else's business.
But that said, she's lived her life in the spotlight and apparently loved every second of being in the spotlight so there's that. She also comes across as a cow.
Remember the news story about her loudly singing "who let the dogs out" at Katie Price at a function they were both attending? She's always come across as a mean girl. And like everyone else living their life on the public remain, she's Teflon coated and more than able to deal with pubic scrutiny. And she'll find a way to spin this in her favour.
So actually, I'm definitely team Brooklyn on this one. He's only ever been 'their son' in the public eye and I don't think he ever the choice to be anything other than that. These allegations haven't come from nowhere and I don't feel sorry for her.

Had she had a drink? I’ve been at weddings where the MOB or MOG are uncharacteristically very drunk by the speeches & I’ve helped a friend try to stop their mother making an impromptu speech they’ll later regret! Weddings obvs emotional & highly charged & alcohol can hit you harder. Was DB giving the glad eye, or worse, to some model.

Yes because Katie Price is far from a mean girl!

VanessaSanessa · 21/01/2026 09:57

I think VB has tried to carefully curated an image of being classy and posh. She was portrayed and played the role of head WAG up to a certain point then suddenly she decided to change the narrative.

What's noticeable on social media since this broke is how she is being treated exactly how people see her, not classy in any way. The image curation hasn't worked at all. I think that will upset her greatly.

You’re spot on, he may have good points to make but the rather self-absorbed, childish spiteful examples, inappropriate dancing & dog jibe, he loses the moral high ground.

Extreme privilege shields you & keeps you younger longer, has he ever had to deal with a house flood, an irate landlord, someone at the bank being rude & difficult, etc? We learn to navigate life’s frustrations & realise all people are human & sometimes when they behave badly there’s a reason.

It reminds me of Meghan & H on Oprah - why didn’t either say ‘before we begin we’d like to wish the D of E in hospital well’ maybe not the best example but there’s this blindness & self absorbed nature…

I don't.

It was covered at time. It happened in private & was at odds with the public playful image on slopes.
