The US is clearly a rogue state now.
It's really no wonder so many women are leaving to live anywhere else. Maybe the shortage of women will finally make their men realise stripping humanity from their country makes it a terrible place to live and raise a family.

Video shows the ICE agent standing to the side of the car and out of its path when he fired. He wasn't defending himself or anyone else. In fact, he was creating a danger.

Case closed.. surely?

Not for the faithful, the gullible, the hard of thinking or rancid of soul, I'm afraid.

Law enforcement said to get out of the car, she refused drives towards the ICE officer and so he did nothing wrong.

Another one who either needs to go to specsavers or hasn't watched the video.

Stop spreading bullshit

Yep, but that doesn’t seem to be the narrative some people on here want to accept!

No its because people are idiots.

HTH

He did. He placed himself in front of the vehicle and shot into a moving car.

Can’t find it now but apparently that is against all their training and law enforcement policies. They do not use firearms to disable or stop a vehicle.

Yes, I posted that in another thread. They are specifically trained to not shoot into moving vehicles. However, with the need to scrape the bottom of the barrel for enough agents, their training has gone from 27 weeks to 47 days

There’s no need to be personal. The fact is, if the officers were enforcing the law, and she refused to abide by it, then tragically there have to be consequences. Whether she is a woman or a mother of 3, is irrelevant.

There is no way the people on these threads are regular posters. The things being said are an absolute disgrace @mumsnet and pretty much the last straw for me on this site, that was once a community and is now yet another polarised, edgelord-filled sewer. You need to sort it out.

Trumps America
what a shit heap

simplesimoneatspie · 08/01/2026 16:55

If he followed the protocol of law enforcement correctly then he has done nothing wrong.

Well I would hope that 'the protocol of law enforcement' doesn't cover shooting a civilian dead when she's trying to drive past you.

If the law is that relaxed, you've got a de facto death penalty without trial. It means the police are empowered to kill anyone they want, knowing the authorities will cover for them later - which is exactly what is happening in this case.

I'm glad I live in a country where the police killing someone is still thought worthy of investigation.

C152 · 08/01/2026 17:09

simplesimoneatspie · 08/01/2026 17:00

Both

Well that's a novel suggestion - she should both move her car and simultaneously get out of her car. Since you clearly think that's the reasonable response (to someone with no legal authority to make such demands), how would you have gone about following both of those instructions to avoid being shot in the face?

It's the men - ignore - they wind up with brainless comments to create rage. Same on every thread.

Princessconsuelabananahammock9 · 08/01/2026 17:10

Her husband died two years ago and a 6 yo boy is now orphaned.

Any one justifying this is sick.

Cops don’t shoot at unarmed people in cars.

Some of these comments are terrifying.

purpleygrey · 08/01/2026 17:10

simplesimoneatspie · 08/01/2026 16:02

She should not have used her vehicle as a weapon against law enforcement. Simple as following the law. Break the law and there are consequences.

I agree a vehicle shouldn’t be used as a weapon. The fact is, she didn’t.

she was trying to leave, clearly. One agent is heard telling her to move on. The other telling her to get the fuck out. She was obviously desperate to get away.

she was Murdered buy a trigger happy bully.

Really, it could be anyone, Male, or Female. Nobody knows who is who here, for sure.

Apologies if this has already been posted - but here is a very thorough video analysis analysis by the New York Times. https://www.nytimes.com/video/us/100000010631041/minneapolis-ice-shooting-video.html?smid=url-share

This is proof of what we have been saying from the outset! She was not driving at the agent she was trying to flee. He did this. He needs locking up.

There are names on the previous thread that are regular posters over many years that support Trumps version of events.

One even posted a still pic of the killer to justify their opinion, so i wouldn't be so sure these are all not regular

DeposedPresident · 08/01/2026 17:13

Oh and just to repeat what a PP has already said - CNn and the BBC have reported- that the Minneapolis authorities have had to withdraw from the investigation because the FBI have decided to refuse them access to any of the files, photos, or investigation.

Let that sink in.

My own 15 year old son with SEN was with me when that got reported and he just said 'It's dystopian'.

If he can fucking get it, then I'm at a loss that others seem oblivious to what is right in front of them - served up to them on a plate with neon signs and flashing lights.

Playingvideogames · 08/01/2026 14:21

Trump has posted on Truth Social to say the officer was acting in self defence. Any trial is jeopardised now, by the POTUS making bold declarations no less. And he would pardon him anyway.

Jeopardisiing the trial only matters if it's unfair to the defendant.

Mind you, there's whole interesting argument around the fact just being supported by Trump is in itself highly prejudicial as any juror with brains is going to wonder what Trump is trying to cover up.

whyschoolwhy · 08/01/2026 15:37

@Clavinova no he wasn't hit. One would like to think that perhaps we was a little out of sorts having just murdered someone, but I don't even think that's necessarily the case.

@whyschoolwhy - more likely the murdering thug that's somehow, inexplicaby, been given a licence to gun down whomever the fuck he chooses by orders of a lunatic administration will be bragging about his actions free from any sort of consequence.

The UK might not be fantastic right now but I'd take it over the absolute bin fire that is the US any day.

Against my better judgement, I had a peek at the comments section of the US edition of the Daily Mail earlier on this very subject.... it seems there are plenty of similarly murderously-intent Americans who think gunning down in cold blood anyone who disagrees with them is a brilliant way to handle 'lefties'. Based on that comments sections, plenty of gun-loving, Trump-voting Americans are absolute fucking certifiable nutjobs.
