Yes agree - also the healthcare ceo

i just can’t understand how anyone can justify killing someone in any of those circumstances

if we no longer value life then what does that make us

Also, apparently it is ok to protest except if it is to protest for illegal immigration.

lovemetomybones · 08/01/2026 19:45

Any investigation will not be neutral. This situation will happen again because no meaningful actions will come from a bias investigation. Lawless

Gloriia · 08/01/2026 19:39

This is all over the news and social media of course it will be discussed on here and probably far more politely than elsewhere. Just hide the thread if it's upsetting you.

As an aside ICE are there to promote law and order not violence and chaos as you incorrectly stated.

@Gloriiastop lying. Just stop. Nobody is fooled by the hate and propaganda. The videos speak for themselves and in time the truth will out no matter how much ICE and Trumps regime try to bury the facts.
You are defending the wrong side. History will be our judge.

She could have just not driven at them.

She was trying to leave. Again, the bar for killing someone shouldn't be so low and it's horrifying that people are arguing in favour of what happened, genuinely horrifying.

Ihatethistimeline · 08/01/2026 19:57

The Trump regime are evil liars.

‘The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command’.

George Orwell - 1984.

Sigh, again for the hard of thinking- she didn't.

LlttledrummergirI · 08/01/2026 19:58

I think the night shift is coming on line.

Girding my louns for the inevitable shallow, repetitive, fake soundbites that are only believable by the not very bright.

SilentMajority1 · 08/01/2026 19:59

There are plenty of slow motion videos that show the front wheels turned slightly left (drivers side - towards ICE agents) and then spinning up as she floors it.
At this point you can clearly see the ICE agent draw his weapon (after the wheels spin up). She was also there as a protester.
If you ignore multiple requests from armed federal agents to get out of your car, and then proceed to drive said car (all be it fleetingly) at said federal agents, then what do you expect to happen.

You’re all mad. Next time I’m apprehended and ignore multiple shouted instructions from armed law enforcement I’ll make a run for it saying “I was just trying to leave” and everything will be fine 🙄

Well, hopefully you won't be shot at without warning and a clear belief that you pose an imminent threat to others because that would be murder, as it was in this case.

US police are not allowed to use deadly force to prevent a person from fleeing.

Then why would they ‘have to move rather than shooting’? What was it they should have moved out the way of?

ClafoutisSurprise · 08/01/2026 20:04

Gloriia · 08/01/2026 19:02

She was in a car refusing to stop, an officer was actually holding the door,. She then drove towards the one who shot her.

Granted it is tragic and a mess but one thing is for sure if I was in a volatile situation in the US I'd put my hands up and get out, I certainly would not floor it.

JD Vance very clear in his conference if anyone wants facts rather than hysterical msm 'murder' headlines.

Not sure where to start with this. The idea that deadly force isn’t the last resort, the smug certainty as to how you’d behave in a similar situation, Vance as a credible source on this…

You’ve amply proved my point, thanks.

This is why Trump said smart people don’t like him, and he loves the uneducated.

  1. These are not law enforcement agents.
  2. We don’t shoot unarmed people.
  3. He stepped in front of her car.
  4. We still don’t shoot people in cars.

Link those love. 'Cos the videos slow-motioned in a number of reputable (and angry) news sources show exactly the opposite.

You should be ashamed of yourself, quite frankly.

The expectation that those in positions of power will uphold the law is not mad.

'Apprehended' suggests the capture or arrest of a fugitive. This woman was neither a criminal nor a fugitive. She was not "apprehended". She was shot in the face 3 times and killed in an inexcusable act of excessive force by an individual acting way beyond their authority.

He did.
Hopes that helps.

The man who shot her is shown moving in front of the vehicle; he was originally standing to the side.

He actually said that, and people still openly support him? 😂

All you Trump supporters realise your own leader is calling you thick, right?

Otoh, if the shoe fits...

ElectoralControversy · 08/01/2026 20:12

It's absolutely chilling that US politics is now so divided, it's somehow possible for people to make all sorts of false statements about an incident that is clearly filmed from many angles, to justify killing someone who might have the wrong politics.

It's ok to support trump and still say, "hey that not-a-police-officer was out of line"

Even if you're absolutely 100% committed to the idea that annoying an immigration officer should result in summary execution, the guy endangered his fellow officers by shots two and three, through the side window of a car in the middle of them all

Clearly a lot of posters are on here just to stir, maybe the recent publicity about Reform support at MN has given them the wrong impression.

Reputable news sources, like the BBC perhaps, who hate Trump (Panorama anyone).....or have we forgot.
If you steer away from the BBC and CNN you can find the video I mentioned love.

He wasn't using force to prevent her fleeing he was using force to prevent her running him over.

I manage to avoid being run over every day...by not deliberately walking in front of moving vehicles. He stepped in front of a moving vehicle with the intent of shooting the unarmed driver in the head. Which he did. As if one shot in the head is not enough; he fired two more shots. As someone said upthread, even solicitors well known for defending police involved in shootings said they couldn't defend that.
