She was in a car refusing to stop, an officer was actually holding the door,. She then drove towards the one who shot her.

Granted it is tragic and a mess but one thing is for sure if I was in a volatile situation in the US I'd put my hands up and get out, I certainly would not floor it.

JD Vance very clear in his conference if anyone wants facts rather than hysterical msm 'murder' headlines.

By facts, do you mean hysterical soundbites that lack both substance and evidence?

Huge lies...the details were explained second by second on the BBC news tonight snd nothing you claimed occurred

Gloriia · 08/01/2026 19:07

'would actually go and look at the verified news sources from such radical institutions as CNN, the Washington Post, the BBC and the Minnesota authorities'
CNN? The BBC? I'd put a laughing emoji if it wasn't such a tragic situation.

LoveBanter666 · 08/01/2026 18:40

Any Proof of that?

His words. His actions. His family’s shameless self enrichment under his presidency. It’s looking like more like a Middle Eastern tribal dictatorship than the America I thought I knew.

She "floored it" after being shot, a involuntary response, the car took off down the road at speed.

She was told to leave the area but also told to get out the car but you know this... so why keep spouting this stuff?

I think you ve explained your view very clearly with your comments on CNN, BBC, Washington post....

Gloriia · 08/01/2026 19:09

She was interfering with Law enforcement officers, she should have pressed the brake not the accelerator. Terrible situation let's hope anyone else protesting does so on foot next time.

DeposedPresident · 08/01/2026 19:16

So, it's her fault that when she had her foot on the accelerator as she was moving slowly away from the situation (as instructed to do) and she had her head blown off with three shots to instead of slumping fatally injured she should actually have had the (literal) presence of mind to have moved her foot to the brake?

Right got it.

@Alexandra2001
Washington Post confirms that the SUV moved towards the ICE Agent as he stood in front of it:

"A frame-by-frame analysis of video footage, however, raises questions about those accounts. The SUV did move toward the ICE agent as he stood in front of it. But the agent was able to move out of the way and fire at least two of three shots from the side of the vehicle as it veered past him, according to the analysis"

The photo that I posted and which you claim is misleading is exactly the same photo published by the New York Times.

So in summary both the Washington Post and the New York Times confirm that the officer was stood in front of the vehicle, yet you continue to claim "there wasn't anyone stood in front of the vehicle":

How does that excuse literal murder?

Chenecinquantecinq · 08/01/2026 17:23

Well I don't know. However to pretend it is just perfectly OK to ignore police with no consequences is also a bit odd. What if the police just turn a blind eye to everything and terrorist get away with attacks because you know there are zero consequences. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

If you don’t know if this woman “ deserved to die “ you are incredibly foolish and dangerous.

Of course she didn’t deserve to die!

C152 · 08/01/2026 19:22

Perhaps you'd care to review the NY Times video (page 1 of this thread), which investigates multiple bystander videos, including the grainy footage with a limited view that you have linked to. It indicates the claims made by Trump and his henchmen were false.

bookworm14 · 08/01/2026 19:24

I wonder if MNHQ are happy with their site being used to justify state-sanctioned murder? Or do they not care provided they keep getting the clicks?

I don't think anyone has suggested she deserved to die, rather there are consequences to actions. If looks like she wouldn't stop and then drove towards an armed officer.

DeposedPresident · 08/01/2026 19:26

You haven't actually seen any of the raw footage, have you?

I think this killing was unjustified and probably illegal (not sure of US law), but demanding the website is monitored to only reflect our opinion here is absurd. Abortion, euthanasia, war, all are state sanctioned ‘murder’ to some.

How many other crimes can we excuse as "consequences to actions"?

If my neighbour buys a BMW and parks it in the street, can I steal it because he should have known there would be consequences to his action of parking his expensive car in a public place?

What if someone talks loudly on their phone on public transport? Is punching them in the face an acceptable consequence for their actions?

Chenecinquantecinq · 08/01/2026 18:30

Professional posters on here are hoodwinking Joe Public. I’ve had enough of it. I’ve posted a link to a video showing what happened cue the propaganda machine saying oh well she was a victim of domestic violence, her husband had an affair any old shite to alter the narritive. You’re pathetic 🙄

Really...I've read each post and don't recall seeing any of what you've claimed. Can you link to those posts?

What are professional posters? If you mean the bot farms the Russians use as part of their hybrid warfare...or indeed the social media platform Trump set up so that he could lie online with impunity...I rather think they are outnumbered on this thread by individuals who can think for themselves and engage in reasoned debate.

EligibleTern · 08/01/2026 19:32

They could have just moved away rather than shooting. Horrified by how low the bar is for it apparently being reasonable to take someone's life.

Ihavelostthegame · 08/01/2026 19:33

Please please just stop! A six year old child yesterday lost his mother. His father is also deceased. He is going to have to spend the rest of his life reliving the events of yesterday - rewatching the last moments of his mother’s life. Over and over again because you cannot escape or erase it online. He may well stumble across these threads in years to come.

Renee is dead as the direct result of all of this hatred and madness that’s going on. She wasn’t acting aggressively, she was following instructions being yelled at her by masked unidentified men. Men who have come to her city not to promote law and order but violence and chaos. If you cannot see that then you need to take a long hard look in the mirror

This is all over the news and social media of course it will be discussed on here and probably far more politely than elsewhere. Just hide the thread if it's upsetting you.

As an aside ICE are there to promote law and order not violence and chaos as you incorrectly stated.

How does that excuse literal murder?

It doesn't. Whether the officer's actions were unreasonable or reasonable in the circumstances will be established in the investigation using further information such as body cameras etc.

My point is that there is a deliberate misinformation stating that "there wasn't anyone stood in front of the vehicle " when clearly there is and confirmed by the two sources (Washington Post & NYT) cited by the poster.

lovemetomybones · 08/01/2026 19:43

She was leaving the scene which she is entitled to do. Her intention was clearly to leave. The ICE officers intention was for her not to leave, one by the side of the vehicle and another who moved to the front of her car. This officer moved to this position she didn’t position her car to hit him, he put his body close to the car to stop her from leaving. This is utterly unprofessional and not a recognised way by any American police force to do. These were untrained officers with no jurisdiction, no reason to stop her, frightening a woman who decided to leave the situation. She lost her life due to their inexperience and unprofessionalism. There are two very worrying aspects to this. The fact that those in charge decide to support violence against women and the fact the president of one of the most powerful countries in the world- instead of being reflective is willing to support violence against women for his own political end. Those officers are lawless in this society.
