New posters joining us in the genuine spirit of our civil discourse are welcome. It would be helpful to get the background from at least some of the Observer exposé items before posting.
To all - Please be extremely cautious when it comes to naming or implicating people and addresses not in the public eye or with no direct connection to the story, and around the understandable health speculations, especially where details are unclear or still emerging. Remember, even Hollywood rabbits attract the odd flea. Please do not engage with drive-by scolders and ploppers who seem to have their own agenda and seek to derail. Avoid @'ing and quoting them as - from experience - this will only encourage them back to the threads. Over 5 months we have done amazingly well together for 20 very interesting, very serious and very silly threads so far. I can't be here as much as I'd like so all help with keeping our discussion walking along in our usual reasonable and respectful fashion is very welcome.

Keep to the path. No saltiness. Our Cardboard Mascot Our Simon has had his head stuck back on and is wearing a very fetching tinsel boa. The charabanc is bedecked with fairy lights and very well stocked up. May the seasonal fudge and mulled cider be with you one and all. 🎅🌲🎁❄️🎄

I also think if she is feeling bad at the moment it will only be because of the impact on their lives, the very public fall from grace, being exposed as a thief and liar and losing the public appearances and accolades. I doubt there’s a shred of feeling bad about her behaviour, the horrible situations she’s put others in. Just seems to be zero remorse. Nobody else should feel bad about exposing the truth.

Yeah,I suppose I was thinking "bad" in terms of the whole shit show falling apart and Tim blaming her 100%, which if my barely -founded speculation is correct, is truly her worst nightmare?

But saying that, they seem remarkably impervious so far....

Must have spent some of her ill gotten gains on a bot army.

BreezyOtter · 23/12/2025 17:43

She's turned them off now, think it was a mistake 😅 I did think it was very bold!

All the comments are very positive. Apparently you can delete/hide any negative comments on your own posts. I suspect that's what she's done.

crossedlines · 23/12/2025 17:45

She’s still trying to control the narrative 😆

Hi @Divegirl65 - so could she present it as if all the comments are supportive but she could see they weren't - so turned it off?

TheTimeTravellersNiece · 23/12/2025 18:01

You can delete other people's comments (I guess if you didn't like them/were negative) from your own posts on Instagram apparently..... according to Google. Perhaps she couldn't delete them fast enough!

She may have just enabled comments by error. These insta posts are just her attempts to try to exert some sort of control…. she came across as quite a controlling person even when things seemed to be going well. Look at the lengths she went to, to wriggle out of being prosecuted for embezzlement! And spending literally years trying to control the narrative with the court case instead of just accepting they’d screwed up and couldn’t afford to repay the loan they’d taken and would need to give up their house. And even flitting off elsewhere when instructed to report to the police station! I mean, most people would accept at some point that they have to face the consequences of their actions. It’s truly desperate the lengths she’s gone to, to try to claw back some semblance of agency after being exposed.

Not the actions of someone being coercively controlled, I hazard a guess.

Uricon2 · 23/12/2025 19:13

Allowing comments was a foolhardy act, that and/or she was on the Baileys.

Pity they've been turned off though.

I chose some beers based on their names today. Most suited to RayMoth, but perhaps we can enjoy them in her absence?

@NineNuzzlyMinecraft that did make me laugh! Black Sheep is my favourite beer! I live a few miles inland from the Adnams motherload and confirm GS is good too.

We need someone to brew an Armitage Ale, I think.

Definitely. Only increases the divide between those who know she's full of manipulative bs and those who continue to remain loyal and gaslit. Stop driving a wedge between us Sal - you've been seen! She desperately wants her voice and popularity back with such festive platitudes. If anything, it's contemptful towards most people in light of her continued denial of blatent deception and criminality.

Just a photo of a mountainous landscape with a skim of snow, and a caption wishing everyone a lovely festive season and a peaceful new year.

What is the black upright object in the photo? Tripod?

(Also, where do people think it is?)

Thelandsthatmustnotbementioned · 23/12/2025 22:13

She’s trying to prove it’s all true - Monty, Smotyn, now I’d guess Scotland or Iceland…

It’s 10 years since we walked the South West Coast Path. When we started that walk Moth had just been diagnosed with Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD) and we thought we had very little time left.
Now, thankfully, 10 years and many many miles later, he’s still here. But for many who have received the same diagnosis the years haven’t been so kind, and their only hope is to ‘be careful on the stairs’

The above is still there. Not 10 years for the consultation, and not so very many miles.

Peladon · 23/12/2025 23:22

She posted that for (other) people diagnosed with CBD, "their only hope is to be careful on the stairs"? Good grief.
