We've had 2 birthdays in work today and I didn't join in with the singing of happy birthday. I hate it. Have a great day and all that but I don't feel the need to go and join in.

I also hate Christmas, it's a waste of money. Love the time with family but the rest of it can fuck off.

I also hate going for a wee and stopping for diesel.

What do you hate?

Phone ins on the radio. I have to turn over. The general public are mainly awful.

Both of these....

I will also add:

This current cold I have... immune system give me a break

People who don't indicate

Loud and busy (peopley) places

Cyclists

Sweetcorn

Making phone calls ... just let me send you an email (I appreciate this is a me problem)

The word hubby

Reform/Trump ect

How blooming expensive everything is

The behaviour of a fellow leader at a uniformed weekly children's activity. They are more hard work that the 20 children in my care put together. I can't fire them as it's voluntary and not my place and if we bring it up we get the guilt trip and water works 😒

I'm sure there are plenty more but this has been very cathartic, thank you OP

Is singing the birthday song even legal? I think it's still copyrighted.

MrsLJH · 05/12/2025 14:32

Golf brollies when you are trying to get by them

Mummyto3ginismyfriend · 05/12/2025 14:34

The word Holibobs
The school run
Shaving my legs
Emptying the cat litter
People that send voice notes (just type it like a normal person)
Working out what to eat every single day.
Putting laundry away

People who eat stuff in Supermarkets before paying. That goes for kids too, they won’t starve or faint away from malnutrition in 45 minutes. I had a colleague who’d eat a sandwich and chug down a bottle of Vimto as we picked up some bits the odd lunchtime, she’dvthen dump the empty bottle/wrapper on the belt to be scanned. She was 45 fgs. So uncouth. Oh and kids on the radio, they all seem to put on a baby voice despite being 9. It’s normally a pushy Mother saying ‘oh little Harry wants to say Hi’.

Edited

I'm usually quite well known for my couthness but I must admit there have been a few occasions where I've nipped into the supermarket to grab a few bits after a long run and had to chuck something inside me before I've totally bonked. Sorry.

the80sweregreat · 05/12/2025 14:36

Changing the beds ! Such a chore.

the80sweregreat · 05/12/2025 14:37

People can get me down , especially certain relatives.
I wish I could tell them some home truths , but it’s too late now. Have to grit my teeth instead.

The assumption I am going to like a dog or want it near me.

I'm the same with cats (which I'm allergic to).

The inability to handle yourself like an adult is really goddamn stressful and annoying.

Black ones are as bad

No there’s something about the white Teslas especially that I loathe. Always driven by chavs

Pavementworrier · 05/12/2025 14:44

For me it's people who say "I have ADHD so..." then proceed to say something like "I sometimes find loud noises startling".

A.) cats tend to avoid people; they wouldn’t charge at you on a footpath while you were minding your own business, and even if they did, they don’t jump up

B.) cat owners don’t bring them along to every public place on bastard extendable leads

Oh yes, those cyclists! They're also the sort who'll shave as much excess weight off their bikes by disposing of their bells etc whilst simultaneously being 20KG overweight because it'll give them the edge.

I once had a moment in a bike shop. DH is a cyclist (gosh, so outing!)
He was looking at some very expensive kit made of carbon so save 30g or something stupid. I reply - why don't you just stop eating crisps? save weight and money. You know when sometimes a room goes deathly quiet for no apparent reason and you can hear your voice ringing round..that happened!

I made my excuses and went outside, I recognise eventually when I'm not required 😆

letshavetea · 05/12/2025 14:45

Entitled people (twats?) who:
*have no spatial awareness
*actually object when you say ‘excuse me’ to get past them
*talk very loudly in restaurants, bars etc
*take up more than their own space on a bus, plane, train by either manspreading, putting bags or feet in the aisle or other on other seats
*use both armrests on a plane
*as above - but also nod off onto you
•didn’t learn to say ‘please’ or ‘thank you’ at an event early age
*leave all the cups/plates rubbish on tables in self service restaurants
*push in in queues
*let their children run round in queues in cafes/shops
*chew loudly with mouth open/slurp drinks
*talk or have mobile phone on or sing along in cinema/show

I may think of more soon, but that’ll do for now!

ArabellaSaurus · 05/12/2025 14:46

Tryingatleast · 05/12/2025 14:46

My dog deciding the only time to ever act up is when there’s judgy people around. It’s like he knows they’re coming and goes right, let’s try and run away/ barge past now!!!

Aquarius1234 · 05/12/2025 14:46

That's me told. Do you take part in endurance sports? I think taking care of my nutrition counts as handling myself as an adult. Actually hitting the wall is no fun and I have to be more careful as I'm on a risky combination of medication.

So why aren't you careful?

NooNooHead · 05/12/2025 14:51

My health.

My lovely (horrible) hormones that are the bane of my life, and making every month hell until I get through perimenopause (dont even get me started about that!)

Being a woman.

HalfWayAroundTheLoop · 05/12/2025 12:21

Fucking everyone 😃

Yes I can imagine that would be quite time consuming :)

Loud music in pub/bar/restaurant
People laughing excessively loudly
Talking on the telephone
Burpees
Team building games
Empty packets in the press/fridge (I have teens)
Putting fuel in my car
Finding out there is no milk for my coffee at 6am (I have teens)
Christmas cards

VoltaireMittyDream · 05/12/2025 14:52

Drinking water. I am constantly parched because I just cannot make myself do it. 😳

Getting out of the car once I’ve parked it.

People asking me questions they could ask Google.

’Check ins’ at the start of work meetings. Fuck off, can we just get down to business please and get this the fuck over with thanks.

People making awful moaning sex noises when they’re enjoying a stretch in yoga class. Honestly makes me want to thwack them upside the head with one of those foam blocks.
