We've had 2 birthdays in work today and I didn't join in with the singing of happy birthday. I hate it. Have a great day and all that but I don't feel the need to go and join in.

I also hate Christmas, it's a waste of money. Love the time with family but the rest of it can fuck off.

I also hate going for a wee and stopping for diesel.

What do you hate?

So why aren't you careful?

I am. It's happened a few times over many years.

eqpi4t2hbsnktd · 05/12/2025 15:03

Next door neighbours. I love everyone on my street but the fuckarses who moved in next-door can literally do one. Genuinely worried about the bystander law (where you legally need to step in to help people in destress / danger) as I would not piss on their fugly faces if they were on fire.

Muffsies · 05/12/2025 15:06

The morning routine.

I used to be great at it; 3 kids all ready, breakfasts done, lunches packed, me fully prepped for work and makeup done.. get on a bike and cycle 7 miles to work. No problem.

Now I only have to get up, a whole hour later, and get myself ready, and I struggle. I HATE doing the same things over and over everday; wash hair, brush teeth, do makeup. It's not even difficult, I marvel at what I used to cope with. I think it's a meno thing, at least I hope so.

Dollymylove · 05/12/2025 15:08

The BBC 🤣

the80sweregreat · 05/12/2025 15:09

Getting ready each day is definitely something that slows down as you get a bit older. It’s more of a challenge just to do the basics.

I understand. I used to live next door to the "No Necks". My god, what a bunch of ignorant shit weasels. Thankfully I was able to move away.

Pumpkinmagic · 05/12/2025 15:12

-Washing my hair
-Hanging up laundry to dry
-Pairing up a pile of clean socks
-Cooking dinner because it’s my turn when I’d rather just sit down and eat a bowl of cereal
-Cleaning the bathroom
-Bullying managers in the workplace (from mine and my friend’s experience they are always female)
-Cars and motorbikes that are stupidly noisy and make loud pops and bangs

-People that litter in the street / throw rubbish from car windows
-Fly tippers
-People that spit in the street
-Teenagers hanging around in kids play parks in the day time and using the worst language imaginable
-Neighbours that can’t even manage a fake hello and a smile
-People that put baby wipes / wet wipes down toilets
-People dithering in front of me in a queue when I’m pushed for time (unless clearly elderly / vulnerable)
-Finishing work late

Mix56 · 05/12/2025 15:14

Paper work, Admin. CVs, Tax returns. Loathful.

the80sweregreat · 05/12/2025 15:16

CarrotVan · 05/12/2025 15:18

Words like Crimbo and holibobs
My MIL passive-aggressive humour
Deliberate spoonerism use
people who just stop at the top/bottom of stairs or escalators to figure out what to do next
people who stop on aisles and doorways to think or have a chat
Putting away the shopping (I wrote the list, did the shop, brought it in - why do I also have to put it away)
putting away laundry (I washed it, dried it, folded it - why do I also have to put it away)
thinking about dinner
Making packed lunches

the80sweregreat · 05/12/2025 15:18

My best friends horrible neighbours finally moved out last summer. She said that the road breathed a sigh of relief. How people can be so anti social I’m not sure , no filters :( or manners.

I think so. I used to be so organised and really positive too. Now am so tired, have brain fog too so even doing the washing up seems like climbing a mountain, and I have become so grumpy with numpties! I hope it passes - the first bits anyway, numpties can go do one regardless.

Couples doing a leisurely big shop together

the80sweregreat · 05/12/2025 15:19

When you do something nice , yet you get a back handed compliment. Passive aggressive people can be annoying.

TheThingsYouDoForLurve · 05/12/2025 15:20

I have more…

Cake
Artificial grass
Chicken shops
Nick Ferrari’s style of interviewing
People who ‘head tilt’ when talking to you
People who touch you for emphasis when they’re talking
Squirrels who dig up my bulbs
Soaps
Quiz shows (The Chase etc)
People who say ‘bring’ or ‘brought’ when they should use ‘take’ (Irish people excluded).
People who put ‘for’ at the end of a question - don’t call me ‘for’.

HalfWayAroundTheLoop · 05/12/2025 12:21

Fucking everyone 😃

😁

pestowithwalnuts · 05/12/2025 15:28

A tangle of coat hangers ...I end up shouting fuck off...but they take no notice..
Sitting on the lav and realising that I need more paper and the cupboard is across the bathroom
Bastards who ring me or knock on the door while I'm in the bath...I don't get out of the bath for anyone.
Cold wet weather...and the sun shines.
Having my hair coloured .it's like having a bath wearing socks...

Hungryhippos123 · 05/12/2025 15:30

People who drive insanely slowly for no reason- like 15 in a 30. EUGH
People who leave their kids (usually boys and worse as they dont tie it back) with really long messy hair 'because they like it'. They're 3 babe cut your childs hair
Getting in our car and realising husband has left 0 petrol, not told me and I have to rush to fill up before work
How your kids favourite hobby is always the one thats a PITA to get to/at an inconvenient time
Cooking a meal for ages for your kids to refuse to eat it...!

Catpiece · 05/12/2025 15:39

Most people, family excepted. Dogs cocking their legs near my fence. People shouting in public. Fly tips. Wankers who drive past without acknowledging you’ve pulled over for them. Bastards. Dithering in my way in Tesco. Fuck off down another aisle, oh look here they are again. Litter. Smoking ban in pubs. Pubs that serve food. Kids in pubs. Kids in prams in pubs. Someone driving in front of me at 19mph in a 30 zone. People who think they’re better than other people and live in a fantasy world to perpetuate the myth.

Jellycatspyjamas · 05/12/2025 15:39

Putting shopping away, putting laundry away - it’s like the final hurdle of a shitty race, I just can’t be arsed.

Lottapianos · 05/12/2025 14:28

'Elf on the Shelf, the most boring and inane trend I’ve ever laid eyes on.'

Even worse than that - parents who do Elf on the sodding Shelf but come into work and bore me to death by moaning about it. You decided to do it, get yourself organised and crack on! Performative martyrdom is so tedious

Strictly for morons.

Flipflopflipflapper · 05/12/2025 15:44

-cancer
-having to pay privately to access timely treatment
-that Starbucks have lots of decaf coffee options but don’t have any decaf tea (wth!)
-baristas who add milk to tea as they make it. so it’s awful pale undrinkable and tepid.
-any type of edible foam on a dinner plate
-limp handshakes
-bottom inch of my tea,
-when DH doesn’t fill the kettle and tries to use the bottom of kettle water to make a drink. I am NOT drinking that!
-single lane humpback bridges where I can’t see over the other side, absolutely crazy, head on collision hello!
-stale bit of toothpaste if someone left the lid off
-people who dominate conversations; basically monologing.

Aquarius1234 · 05/12/2025 15:45

People that dont like it when they are clearly wrong.

Userengage · 05/12/2025 15:48

Lane three hoggers moving at 62mph. Do I really have to pull out to lane four to overtake you then pull back into lane one, where you should actually be?

the80sweregreat · 05/12/2025 15:53

People who turn every single conversation to be about them. Two way conversation is the way to go peeps!
