Knickers under pyjamas yay or nay

I wear clean pyjamas every night and clean knickers underneath. I shower usually before bed so like clean pjs, I wear knickers because the seam of the pyjamas ends up going up my crack and I can’t stand it.

I don't own pyjamas so no option on that but my secretions certainly don't go everywhere lol. Not like the PP that said about how they'd be running down your thighs lol

I cannot imagine the discomfort of no underwear with pyjamas. Not only do I wear pants with pyjamas, I generally also wear a woolly jumper over said pyjamas and socks.
Unless I'm on holiday in Italy in July or something.

Always knickers, never had thrush. In the event of a fire alarm or other emergency evacuation (fairly unlikely I know), I definitely want to have my knickers on!

No pants under PJs and because I happen to clean my entire body I don’t have the phantom dirty genitalia that so many of you seem to be worried about!

Everyone washes their entire body. I don't think you're unique in that respect.

Am I repressed if I only wear knickers and no PJ bottoms? I didn't realise adults wore PJs in bed. Don't you get hot and sweaty wearing PJs? Doesn't the seam annoy you? Where is the source of this air under duvets and PJ bottoms?

Nightshirt - no knickers required. I'm a great believer in letting some air flow around & about!!

Always knickers. Sometimes knickers and a top but no pj bottoms (in summer).
Surely it’s just personal preference. No need for all the talk about sweaty fannies and dirty gussets. Each to their own.

My mum taught me . No knickers at night . No underwear at all . Nightdresses for me to sleep . Smart Pyjamas to lounge in .

I can’t stand wearing anything in bed, only time I would is if I had to stay in hospital, no heating on at night - in fact I sleep naked even if I’m camping….and have to have my feet out of the duvet or they get hot

I never knew it was actual health "advice" and also something mothers would tell their daughters (mine never did!) learn something new everyday. As a PP said each to their own but I'm sure this thread will rumble on for 30 pages with posters arguing over whether we need to air out our bits at night or not 😆😆😆

Excellent question! EVERY time I hear about someone sleeping naked, male or female, I feel 🤢 because it means their sheets are covered in traces of urine and fecal matter and ooze-ments. Absolutely GRIM. And do not get me started on pets sleeping in or on the bed.

QUITE! People who sleep naked don't want to hear it, but it's true. Totally foul.

People who sleep in knickers and pyjamas - like moi! 🤣 - have MUCH cleaner beds.
